June 5, 2007, 1:02 p.m.On his last day in office, George Bush will pardon Scooter for being a good soldier and falling on his sword. But until then, Scooter has to ask permission to go to the bathroom and there is justice in that.

June 5, 2007, 1:39 p.m.Hopefully they will put him behind bars while the appeal process is going on since we all can be sure that Bush will let him off with a pardon when he leaves but might keep his word and let the justice process complete before stepping in.
Pity they never punished the guys who did the dirty work, namely Rove and Cheney. The letters from co-conspirators in the deception of America and the perpetuation of the war should not have helped but instead added time to his sentence.
Wonder what would have happened if it hadn't been one of the presidents men who committed the crimes.

June 5, 2007, 2:08 p.m.I don't think GWB can issue any pardons if he is in prison himself. Some days I begin to think that is where he belongs.

June 5, 2007, 2:42 p.m.President Bush told reporters that he ''felt terrible for the family, especially for his wife and kids.''
He feels oh so terrible? Didn't think the man felt at all. But I suppose when someone is sheilding you from prison, then I guess the PR Guys felt he had better say something.
And those that wrote letters in Libby's defense were: Drumroll... former Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld; Marine Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger; and former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton.
Hell, with friends like that who needs enemies. :-) I suppose Cheney was too busy with his Propaganda Tour to write a letter in Libby's defense.

Everyone screamed about Monica and CLinton's lyeing under oath, that was more agregous than this and he is you martar. Bush should pardon him today, Clinton pardon drug dealers and worst on his last day.

June 5, 2007, 3:37 p.m.It is hard to know for sure is justice is being done because the Bushies have spent 3 years lying and covering up what has clearly been show as illegal.
An Libby is being sent up for it. If it should be someone else then why haven't the Bushies offered them up?
Plus, your other comments show how warped neocons are. Clinton lying about getting some on the side is more egregious than Bushies outing undercover CIA agents and then lying about it and covering it up? Has Rush been sharing his pills with you?
