June 5, 2007, 11:07 a.m."He has expressed no remorse, no acceptance of responsibility, and no recognition that there is anything he should have done differently รข;; either with respect to his false statements and testimony, or his role in providing reporters with classified information about Ms. (Valerie) Wilson's affiliation with the CIA."
WHAT??? He really does think he is above the law. He could be.

June 5, 2007, 12:10 p.m.If it had been you or I, the charges would have been more severe. In addition to obstruction of justice, it would have been other "darlings" of the prosecution used against YOU.
There are laws for the privileged and laws for the masses. The Hilton matter is another prime example...GET REAL...STOP LIVING FANTASY.

June 5, 2007, 12:33 p.m.Hmm...he got 30 months for outing a CIA agent who wasn't really undercover in the first place since she was posing in Vanity Fair? Sure...why not.
I wonder how many years William Jefferson will get for having $90,000 in his freezer and accepting bribes from an FBI informant on tape?

June 5, 2007, 12:40 p.m.Libby lied under oath. Don't you conservatives remember the term "Lied under oath"? It's the same term you are STILL using every time the name Bill Clinton comes up.
But I guess in this case it's okay isn't it?
He is not going to jail because he leaked anything. He's going to jail because HE LIED UNDER OATH!
Remember what brought Nixon down? It wasn't the crime, it was the cover-up!
BTW- I hope Jefferson gets 30 years!

June 5, 2007, 1:06 p.m.This is a reversal, liberals that want a traitor to face harsh punishment and conservatives who would have a person that put politics before national defense to walk away avoiding due punishment. We talk about quality of human intelligence and this is the best the administration can do, expose our own? Seems like the administration would lead the charge - but I doubt agaist themselves. How large does a breach have to be for Americans to lose party loyality for national security. If we worry about al Qaeda coming over here, I say we have to hold public officials a lot more responsible meaning Libby and his boss as necessary and honestly see if they are guilty of wrong doing. If would be comical if it weren't so serious.

June 5, 2007, 1:07 p.m.George Bush will pardon Scooter on his last day in office and rich men will pay Scooter's fine but he must serve his time until the inauguration. Until then, Scooter must ask permission to go to the bathroom and sometimes the answer will be no. There's justice in that.

June 5, 2007, 1:18 p.m.George Bush should pardon Scooter immediately. This conviction is a travesty and lack of justice.

June 5, 2007, 1:47 p.m.Libby should go to jail. He's a fall guy, he'll take the heat and punishment, while his boss, Cheney, is free to go hunting again.
