I saw his interview on 60 minutes with Mike Wallace telling how the Bush administration was trying to silence him. It is a real shame when government tries to hide the facts from the people.

I remember hearing about this a couple of months ago as part of a story about political appointees taking scientific research papers and editing out anything that was contrary to Bush's political views.

This is particularly scary and disturbing; "...many scientists who routinely took calls from reporters five years ago can now do so only if the interview is approved by administration officials in Washington, and then only if a public affairs officer is present or on the phone." That sounds like a description of a totalitarian state. Red China, Cuba, Myanmar...those places would be doing these things. How can this be happening in America?

He was silenced because he is part of the secret society of the Global Warming brotherhood of scientists, who are actively plotting to make GWB look bad. What else could they possibly be doing with their time - research? That sounds plausible...a little too plausible if you ask me.

So I must rely instead on my own biases and lack of education in the climatology field to make simple conclusions and stand behind them with unwavering resolve. To wit: It was hot here two days ago but yesterday it rained, so I can extrapolate from my backyard environment and conclude that global warming is a myth! What do scientists with all their fancy education and years of research data know?

I don't want to seem confrontational, but DESTROY THE !#@*!ING FASCISTS BEFORE THEY DESTROY THIS PRECIOUS DEMOCRACY.

Only evil dictatorships openly block scientists from sharing info with the world. Let's dump "the Decider."

This doesn't surprise me. I've gotten use to this administration conducting their business this way that I am not shocked any more.

              Keep On Talking Dr. Hansen!!

              THE Worse President/Administration EVER!!!!!

We now have the Administration editting SCIENCE to reflect its views. Who said 1984 was only a book?

The Conservatives have made it part of their agenda to control science and to blame any unfavorable facts on 'liberal media'.
