The Field Narrows: The Republican Debate »
Posted by: Alexia 2 years, 7 months agoIf nothing else, last night's Republican presidential debate will certainly narrow the field. Those who have no shot: Duncan Hunter, Jim Gilmore, Tommy Thompson, Sam Brownback, and Tom Tancredo. They represent the fringe of the fringe. Mitt Romney will probably last until The Final Three, but only because he's such great television.

June 6, 2007, 2:12 p.m.A country of many languages, Yes. But this country became great by those coming wanting to be part and assimilating.
Learn to speak English or go home because this is obviously not yours.

June 6, 2007, 9:28 p.m."Specifically: when moderator Wolf Blitzer asked the ten candidates whether they would authorize the use of tactical nuclear weapons against Iran, only one--Ron Paul--said no."
What the hell? Did these guys forget the song is "Barbara Ann" no "Bomb Iran"? And why is it the only crazy guy in the group is the only one with common sense enough to say No on that approach?
With a field like this, even Mike Gravel can win.

June 7, 2007, 1:34 a.m.Alexia may be missing the point. These are precisely the ideals that appeal to the Republican base. The really scary thing is that any of these guys but Paul has a chance.

June 7, 2007, 9:27 a.m.This article SUX! Four whole words devoted to Ron Paul, the only human in the bunch. The only reason why Blitzer asked that question is because he used to be a lobbiest for AIPAC, and the Jews want Iran bombed with nukes!

June 7, 2007, 10:45 a.m.Why are we narrowing the field when we have over a year to go? Why not some real debates, instead of softball Q&A sessions.
That goes for both parties.

June 7, 2007, 11:32 a.m.Rudy cannot explain how or why he received an advance warning that the towers were going to collapse, and more to the point why the firefighters inside the towers were not given that same warning and given a chance to evacuate. So, Rudy has started telling everyone that he did NOT receive any early warning, and any reporters who show up with the tape of his comments to Peter Jennings is dealt with harshly.
If he acts this way as a candidate, he will act this way as President

June 7, 2007, 11:36 a.m.Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul drew less attention from journalists and professional debate-watchers Tuesday night than bigger-name candidates like Rudy Giuliani, John McCain and Mitt Romney, but on the arena floor, he was the most popular guy in the house, according to his son, Rand Paul, a Bowling Green opthamologist
After Tuesday's debate, it was clear Ron Paul had won and the comments page at CNN reflected that. So, in typical "We will decide for you who should be President", CNN yanked the page and re-directed the link over to the comments from Monday's Democratic debates. CNN did this late in the evening in the apparent hope that nobody would notice or care. WRONG! CNN has been busted yet again trying to shape the political process to its own agenda.
Ahead by about 4,000 votes! with more than half of the votes...And STILL, no one's gunna talk about him...Gotta love America.

June 7, 2007, 12:09 p.m.You see the establishment media are telling you what reality is, they are not reporting reality to you. They tell you what to believe. And now they are telling you to believe that the impressive Ron Paul is not being noticed. That's right, the media is telling you that you are virtually alone in your support of Ron Paul, even though you may know a ton of people who also support him and you don't seem to see too many people supporting other candidates. They conspire to make you believe a lot of lies. It's not hard to see this, as a matter of fact it is pretty obvious. You just just have to pay attention.
