"I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that."

The year? 1931. The speaker? Thomas Edison.

Well Thomas, we have the answer. We decided to wait until oil and gas run out.

The days of cheap gas will end in a few years.

its called Peak Oil. Google it. We are at the peak of oil production, and many experts say we are only going to go downwards. population rises, people need more oil.. but we cant produce more.

agree - the days of cheap gas are over, and unfortunately our gluttony and greed have only created our country to where we cannot deal with expensive gas. few trains, sprawling cities.

      its a mess.

No what we need to do is tell the EPA to shove it and allow some new refineries to be built. Then maybe we could stock pile some fuel and the price wouldn't fluctuate so much because the supply would be more than the demand.

The EPA's fine with refineries being built. It's the oil companies that don't want them. Because prices would drop. At least until Peak Oil hits the majority of fields.

If there were new refineries they would probably break down every spring just like the old ones. If the government built the refineries they would cost ten times as much and would be built wrong by companies that pay off the senators, etc. The oil companies won't build them because they might have to lower prices. It is all BS !!!

I know how to cut the cost and improve supply and demand of gas

Send 11 million illegal Mexicans home. This will insure less gas used it will also save the American taxpayers millions in the relief that we are looking for! In the way of our medical cost, School costs, Jail overcrowding, jobs that will become availible again, ID Theft, and housing shortage thats nation wide If you want to really vote on somthing that will make a HUGH differance? vote the idiots out of office that are looking the other way on the real issues and make them stop pointing there fingers at the other guy make them responsible for their actions besides it was there job they didn't do it! or can't you tell
