June 7, 2007, 4:55 p.m.I agree with you. I never really gave acne much thought because it's not one of my (many) problems, but my mother recently told me how one of my brothers and my sister have battled severe acnes for years and how it affected them. We never know what it's like unless we walk in someone else's shoes. Teens are dealing with enough things as they undergo physiological and emotional maturation changes as they transition to adulthood, and this just adds to their stresses. Looking back on our own lives, we may tend to diminish what teens go through but it's the present moment for them and the stresses are real.
