Bush Mantra: Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid »

Posted by: populist 2 years, 5 months ago

The Democrats in Congress wring their hands, gnash their teeth and wail that there was nothing they could do but cave in and vote to continue funding the war in Iraq. After all, that crafty George W. Bush had maneuvered them into a corner and they didn't have the votes to override his veto.

Well stupid is as stupid does. So, you go by the results. Yes, Bush duped everyone with his pre war intelligence report stuff, and once the troops are in the field, they can't be abandoned. He got everyone to go along with his war on terror. It wasn't hard, after 9/11. He was the commander in chief and had a lot of credibility.

He's lost that credibility, because he's losing a totally winnable war, and it's not even the war that needed to be fought. So much for fearless leader.

It remains though, that Bush cannot get a handle on the Iraq situation, doesn't seem to know what's going on, and is getting his ass kicked by a bunch of guys in pajamas using home made bombs.

So, he's smart enough to take advantage of 9/11 and fight his war in Iraq, but he's not smart enough to actually win the war, despite having the kind of military advantage people like Ceasar, and Napoleon would've killed for.

        It's all relative.

Bush is stone cold stupid. Only he could manage to lose in Iraq. Karl Rove is the one who did all the duping. The elections are the only things Bush did right, and even then he lost the popular vote in 2000, and barley squeaked by in 04.

So, the Supreme court helped Bush in 00, and Rove got him in for 04. Bush is a guy who gets by with a little help from his friends.

Let's put it another way, if Rove were a Democrat, Gore would be president today.

Bush is a man who is lousy at his job.

Bush is brutal. Rove is the evil genius.
