This is insane. Bush, Reid, Graham have completely lost it. Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said he and Reid are confident the bill will be back. I saw Graham on TV crying saying 'We have to help these poor people.' Be assured the 'poor people' they want to help AIN'T YOU OR ME. There is something deep and sinister going on with this bill. Power and a fresh new voting block. New sheep.

Here's what I sent to Bush, Cheney, Graham, and a bunch of others....

      ARE YOU ALL INSANE?

For nearly 50 years, Americans have been intentionally lied to about our immigration laws.

In 1965, Teddy Kennedy overhauled immigration law with the specific purpose of effecting a dramatic change in the nation's demographics. Bobby Kennedy had civil rights, so Teddy needed something big: He would preside over a civil rights bill for the entire Third World! My word, but that man could drink in those days.

With his 1965 immigration act, Kennedy embarked on entirely transforming American culture for no good reason. (You know how people always say the same arguments against illegal immigrants today were once made about the Irish to show how silly those arguments are? If only the U.S. Senate had had an "Irish Need Not Apply" sign!)

Let's be brutally honest on this subject. As humans that live in a country we can all agree that we understand why someone from any country with little hope of a future around the world would beat a path here to ride the ride of hope for a chance to prosper.

There are many reasons why Both the Republicans and Democrats want a reform bill.

        1. Voting block,,,,,, Voting block,,,,,, Voting block,,,,,,

        2. Cheaper labor for business. Businesses are owned not just by Republicans but by Democrats as well and yes, they both are lobbied by big business. Voting block,,,,,, Voting block,,,,,, Voting block,,,,,,

        3. Whether you want to admit it, both parties are just opposite sides of the same HILL coin

        4. Both parties love our votes, but once on the Hill think of their parties over we the people.

        5. They play the partisan shell game to our face as the chum around in cahoots in back rooms

        6. Voting block,,,,,, Voting block,,,,,, Voting block,,,,,,

We the People should demand as a whole:

          * Term limits for all political offices, federal, state and local.

          * Kill income taxes and move to consumption taxes.

          * Demand that the borders be closed and reform our immigration laws. The country of immigrants understands why we should have them, but it needs to be done in a lawful way as intended.

          * Demand that we simply have the immigration laws on the books be enforced.

              Thanks RRJ, good article.

Nearly made me sick listening to Graham, Feinstein, Reid & the rest whining like they were offering the American people a gold mine. These representatives are not listening to the People.

Yesterday the California Attny Gen. Brown was saying that "we need more immigrant laborers to work in the fields, because the majority of current illegal laborers have left the jobs working in the fields and moved onto other jobs, like construction, meat packing, etc.". This is American history repeating itself, again.

Bush & the ones pushing this bill need to understand, Democracy means rule of law, not change the law to suit a few people!

I believe it is time that We the people, continue to pick up our phones, write letters and emails to Pres. Bush on this one. If He is the one trying to get this resurected, and He was the one saying the anyone that opposses the Bill as it was, does not want what is best for the U.S., then He is the one that should be hearing our outrage. I know I do want what is best for the U.S., but allowing such a huge # of people to basically purchase citizenship for a mere $5,000, is not a good idea. I wrote to my Senators (Feinstein & Boxer), but it appears that fell on deaf ears, as they continue to support this bill.

Does anyone know the website that tracks the voting record of our representatives? If so, could you please post it? Voting for this bill, guarantees I will be voting NO for them next election.

What it all boils down to is the fact that He may have to hire more people that are Americans that need jobs to go out and seek where the illegals are hiding and arrest them. That means some Americans might go to work which the words out of his mouth where "Americans do not want to work." So you see our Tax dollars might start to pay to have these aliens picked up and the ones harboring them prosecuted. Which means big money fines and the possibility of money being use to help the economy of America from with in. A logical step is not what he will do.

But its not amnesty.Okay so they will not need to worry about paying tax on their previous illicit income and we won't prosecute or deport those who have standing deportation orders and okay so we will let illegal alien criminals remain after breaking our laws, but other than that its mostly not amnesty.

Just seal the border, the rest will follow!

I mean, once the border has been sealed and NONE can come in ILLEGALLY, we can take our own sweet time identifying, locating, and expelling illegal aliens. As for those whose kids were born here, too bad! Let those kids claim their residency when they are 18...

Maybe, we oughta also make a small change in the Constitution: add the clause that this Constitution and the Bill of Rights will NOT apply when any or all of its provisions have been EXPLOITED or otherwise ABUSED. Hence, no more copulating and then, when pregnant, start the trip across the border...or better yet, requiring LEGAL RESIDENCY of BOTH parents before a child born on US soil can claim US citizenship by birth!

The longer we wait to have the laws that we have on immigration enforce the more we will have to deal with. What I would like to know is do we still have the Citizen's arrest law? What we have in the dept of immigration office is not out investigating a lot. I have also heard tales of farmers putting money in the hands of State, Local and Federal investigators.
