June 11, 2007, 10:35 p.m.I'd say the fisrt resume was not too good, but the second one one was only average. Anyone with half a brain would know to merely pick up a book on resume writing at the local library, or take a free class at your local community center, library, or school. No-brainer.

June 11, 2007, 11:19 p.m.I'm actually curious, the revamped resume contains the term "date base". Forgive me, but I'm unfamiliar with this term. Does is mean database?

June 12, 2007, 11:55 a.m.Very nice redo! From trying to redo my own resume, all I can say is UHG! Though after 2 weeks of muddling though I'm now down to the tweaking!

June 12, 2007, 2:42 p.m.FIVE SECONDS!! That is the usual amount of time spent reviewing a resume, that is from a survey of Fortune 500 companies, I being a small fish will agree to that.
Reading a resume has the same effect as listening to someone tell their latest dream, numbing...
To give that resume any value... work experince is number one, unless it is a tech job, then experince plus education.
If you want a job really bad, go person to person and sell your self.

June 12, 2007, 4:07 p.m.Did anyone else catch the error in the "revamped" resume? "Managed companies data base" was listed under the administrative assistant position at Electronics Construction. I believe it should be "Managed company's database" - singular, possessive...
Don't know if spell check would have caught that one, but as a manager, I sure would have, had that resume come across my desk. It would have ended up in the trash. Sorry!!!
