The Democrats want to protect us against climate chang

The Democrats want to protect us against climate change>>>>>

Disingenuous. Democrats want to address more than that, which includes 'terrorism'. But as long as george has been given complete control of that by the CONS, and as long as Ã;ONS block any efforts by democrats to change that, not a whole lot they can do about it. The ONLY thing that will save this country, is to pay attention to who is sent to Congress.

It does seem like we are almost living in 2 nations. Never before have I seen Americans so "divided" amongst each other. You have Conservatives who talk bad about Liberals and vice-versa.

Whoever the next president should be, I hope they have the power to reunite the American people without the need of a tragic terrorist attack as the basis.

I think the division is a Netscape anomaly. In the real world, or at least at my work, there is no division among liberals and conservatives - we all consider ourselves Americans and hope for a better future. Some people on Netscape are more worried about making things an us versus them scenario and sometimes people get carried away with their vitriol. Most people in the real world that I speak with are also united in a distrust towards the politicians on both sides of the aisle.

" What we are guilty of, in Republican voters' view, is at worst a botched attempt to spread freedom and democracy in the world."

Wow, are the Republican voters really that dumb or just lemminglike? Even I don't believe that. Obviously, the author has never seen Iraq For Sale. Or read the oil bill.

"And the people who would attack us are, in this view, truly evil. Negotiation, propitiation, appeasement, confessions of guilt -- none of these will reduce the threat. Vigilance and going on offense will."

The author forgot to include that we fund terrorist groups so they can fight Iran. And we also negotiate with them from time to time (FARC).

"Those who see climate change as the proximate threat take another view, one that has evolved into a kind of secular religion. Debate on the science of climate change must be shut down -- you must have faith. "

I agree. You must have faith to believe anything Exxon's experts put out.
