June 12, 2007, 10:42 a.m.I hope more people will become aware that the lack of exercise and the related consequences is costing the public as a whole. Obesity is at epidemic proportions, and heart disease, diabetes and stroke are only some of the problems related to being over weight. legislators need to pay attention as this is a public health issue. the idea of a data base of gyms and other health facilities coupled with a tax incentive for people enrolled in exercise programs should be a significant issue. i hope law makers, people in the health professions wake up to the fact somethings needs to be done to get Americans on the m ove.
