Powell vents on war , Guantanamo and gays »

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell called yesterday for the closing of the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and a rethinking of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy he authored as head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The public comments represent Powell's effort to further distance himself from the Bush administration.

    Poor Powell. He thought he would be the first black Secretary of Defense.

    Instead he was the highest paid houseboy in American history.

    And his son has been twisted up by the Neocon taint.

    Powell didn't want to lie. That made him unqualified to be a Conservative Republican leader.
