June 12, 2007, 4:17 p.m.We have a track record of giving away the store in free trade agreements. If the country is willing to give us free and unfettered access to their markets, we will do the same. Unfortunately, we have failed to get this kind of agreement with these countries. It's about time we started demanding it!

June 13, 2007, 12:46 a.m.China holds more T-Bills than any other country how would a change in the valuation of the yuan effect the status of this debt?

June 13, 2007, 1:43 a.m.Pretty much drop the real value of American currency in China,US goods cost fewer yaun and commie Chinese goods cost more dollars.A 5% change in the exchange rate would mean $1 would be worth 7.22 yuan and a Yuan would be worth 0.08 Dollar.Not sure if I think this is the best road to travel but it might be one of the few left to America,might lower the trade imbalance a little maybe and to a certainty force them to convert dollars to try to cut exposure probably to Euros driving our currency even lower worldwide so who wins?
Approxamate values
todays rate $1 = 7.66Yuan
yuan=$0.13
