June 13, 2007, 10:49 a.m.Ill tell you what, Ford is a great company and is putting out amazing cars right now. They are beating out toyota for quality awards and making leaps and bounds in fuel efficiency, also they have always performed better than japanese cars. If Ford goes under we will all feel the effects of it and soon to follow will be other American companies, we will lose every thing to the Japanese and never get it back and the people who buy foriegn will be to blame

How many illegal immigrants are working for Ford taking up American Jobs????
Once the Democrats grant amnesty to all illegal immigrants, welcome to the Open Job Market... Then the illegals will Demand American
Jobs and the ACLU and Democrats will back them up all the way..
Hillary, pelosi, biden, kennedy, harry ried, etc, are all millionaires, this issue does not concern them... They do not think that English should
be the American National Language???
How Sad....

June 13, 2007, 3:44 p.m.Go FORD!
I wish them luck, the Big Three need to start getting control of their companies back from the blackmail clutches of the UAW and putting the auto manufacture industry back on the right path..
They make great looking products, as soon as their quality is truly job 1, I would love a Ford MUSTANG or GT40 perhaps.
I always try to buy ford, loved the Aerostar/Ford LTD, even the Pinto we had, not so lucky with the Escort or the Mercury Lynx from the late 80s/90s.

June 13, 2007, 6:52 p.m.Actually, I think cutting some of those $20million executive bonuses may be a better place to start. Then after that, work on a car that's actually worth a ******.

June 13, 2007, 9:36 p.m.Wonder why the big difference in labor costs? An overseas worker just wants to provide a place to live for his family, enough food on the table and a decent education for his children and he's willing to ride a bike to work. A U.S worker on the other hand just doesn't want a place to live but a three thousand square foot place in an upscale part of town to live. Not just food but t-bone steaks and such. Not just any kind of education but the kind you get at upscale schools and finally the hell with a bike he wants a Hummer. Wonder why products are made cheaper overseas??
