June 13, 2007, 11:40 p.m."But Hamas's military wing says it has received no orders to put down its guns and clashes are continuing in Gaza."
I'm thinking it is not even going to start.

June 13, 2007, 11:57 p.m.This is more of the same "tribe think" mentality that appears to be so prevelant in the middle east. I could only wish that the President & his advisors had seen that fact while they were planning the Iraq War. Possibly things there and here would be so much different.
I hope the truce holds, but I am not holding my breath on it.

June 14, 2007, 8:49 a.m.Now we will have callls for two seperate Palestinian states. ANd even that would not be goood enough for them. THey have shown their true colors. The religion of Peace must rule and all others will be executed. Even their own people. Can you say Camer Rouge/ Pol Pot. And the UN wants to send troops. For what? sothey can be used as pawns or so some form of legitimacy can be bestowed on hamas instead of just being a terrorist organization. THat's really all they want. Legitimacy for their terrorist agenda. ANd the moderate muslims of the world are more than prepared to give them what ever they want as long as they continue to try to destroy Israel ( AND THEMSELVES HOPEFULLY)

June 14, 2007, 9:38 a.m.Its about time this made it to this site.......
I really hope Hamas wins, and before you flame me, hear me out.
Obviously this is an opinion and not an expert one but i feel like if Fatah wins this civil war then things will go abck to how they were and just continue going back and forth forever and no progress with themselves or with Isreal
If Hamas wins: They will officially be a terror state and unrecognized government and there will be a full backlash of many countries. Hamas and all all of palestine will be leveld so it can start new and maybe some progress can be made, because it cant get any worse.
If that does happen i would hope other more responsible Arab countries would get involved and guid the country towards peace

June 14, 2007, 9:47 a.m.When Henry Kissinger was asked in a television interview what he thought was the greatest tragedy of the Iran Iraq War, he paused for a second and responded "someday the war will have to end". That same tragedy will happen here, but hopefully not before both of these groups of a-holes kill each other off.

June 14, 2007, 2:36 p.m.saintetienne: no need to get rude doushe bag. As i stated, it was just hypothetical based on my non expert opinion. And i like how you purposely chose to forget the word "hope" from my sentence you quoted as If i was stating a fact. Never claimed to be right or know the answer.
Ive recently seen your posts on here, your very consistant. your complete scumbag who hasnt had an origional thought to express yet. Ill be sure to avoid reading anything you have to say in the future because its been proven to be a complete waste of time

June 14, 2007, 3:13 p.m.Did I read somewhere that Gods Garden of Eden was located in the Middle East, what happened with all these various religious sects that live in that locale? I thought the religious were a peaceful lot of people. Must have misread!!!!

June 14, 2007, 3:21 p.m.This SHOULD show everyone that the problem in the Middle East is not Israel. Palestinians cannot even get along with Palestinians. And the entire reason for this is because Fatah is moderate. They only want to moderately kill the Jews.

June 14, 2007, 5:36 p.m.I wonder how much the destabilization of Iraq, and the middle eastern region has to do with this. I would think something.

June 14, 2007, 7:38 p.m.Good job USA!!! The intended results are playing itself out. The elections, sanctions, Israeli pullout of Gaza, support for Abbas, US training and arming of Fatah fighters...actions that lead to divide and sow the seeds of mistrust within Palestine. See the whole picture??? Now tell me who the winners are again?

June 14, 2007, 10:05 p.m.LEFREAK suck on a big one. You Nazi scum bag. It is because of people like you that hate keeps propagating. Christians are Jews. In my opinion Muhammad based the Qur'an on the Torah. The only difference between these nutcase fundamentalist Islamists and the fundamentalist Christians is the location of the continent they reside. We are in big trouble and not because of the Muslims. Its because of bigotry and hatred that is being fueled in this country by war and the religious right. Who just so happen to be fueling the Republican Party. I was a Republican, but not anymore. The way I see it any body who supports the part of the Republican Party that support the Religious Right are traitors of America. As for the Palestinians, the shameful thing is they are people who are misguided by the Islamists. Sharia Law is more then 1500 years old. When are people going to stop this and start living in the 21 st century? Religion is the basis for all hate always has been always will be.

Because fatah will lose and be replaced by AlQuaeda.
Saudi Arabia will feed AlQuaeda and Iran will fund Hamas and hezbollah and Israel will be shelled from all directions.

June 14, 2007, 10:39 p.m.If Hamas & Fatah can't work thing out between them self's there is no way these people will be able to work any thing out with Israel.

June 15, 2007, 8:35 a.m.Israel is a fait d'accompli. The arabs have tried to wipe Israel off the map on a number of occasions and have failed miserably. The leaders of the arab and muslim world have failed their people miserably. Rather than taking the required steps and initiatives to improve the lot of their people they deflect the responsiblity for their poor circumstances onto anyone else. Never accept responsibility for your actions: it must be Bush's fault. And where would we find these "more responsible arab countries"?
