It's closer to the truth to say that what's really being hijacked here is the Gipper's reputation.

June 14, 2007, 12:13 p.m.Part of the problem is that many conservatives are pushing this as some sort of Amnesty. It isn't it imposes fines and penalties on those who have come here illegally but also gives them a chance to become citizens.

June 14, 2007, 7:54 p.m.I think this is a pretty decent article. It would be nice if we as a nation could consider our neighboring nations with higher regard.
I live in the South West. I can safely say that we do unneighborly things, such as take so much water from rivers that flow into Mexico that there is basically nothing left for the Mexicans.
This is not cool.
