Ex-DOJ lawyer can't recall his role in controversial policies »

Another former Justice Department lawyer went before Congress on Wednesday with few answers for his Democratic interrogators and a spotty memory. Time and again during his confirmation hearing, Hans von Spakovsky cited either the attorney-client privilege or a cloudy memory for his purported role in restricting minorities' voting rights.

    Don't these people write anything down? Where are the subpoenas and some real investigation of evidence? They can ask all the questions they want (and they really need to work on those questions in the first place), but until they start twisting some arms (figuratively speaking, of course), they won't get to the bottom of anything.

      if the dems keep letting witnesses lie, it just makes it more obvious that the game is rigged.

        If they lie on camera, defiantly, while in front of them is a video playing confirming that what the Bush flunkies are saying is a lie, they will still say they don't remember saying that.

        It is amazing what audacity this administration has and how much the American public is willing to forget.

        I do not forget the lies.

          They are going to have to start charging some of these folks who claim not to remember with obstruction. I bet their memories clear up real quick if they are facing a stiff jail sentence.
