Why would anyone be surprised that the Clinton's held WalMart stock? Through his years as Arkansas governor Bill Clinton was heavily supported by WalMart and its officers--it is, after all, that state's largest company. And Mrs. Clinton sat, for several years, on WalMart's board of directors. She was paid for that, and she may have participated in some of the decisions which make people so despise the company today.

after reading these postings....seems to me you're all jealous that they are the "haves" and you're the "have nots"...that's the way it is with most people who complain so hardly. Remember, the "Rs" spent millions of the tax-payers dollars to prove the Clintons were doing something illegal. Hmmmmm...if I remember right, it didn't get the "rs" anywhere.

Their money was held in a BLIND TRUST.

That means they didn't know what was in it. Or have any say as to where their money was invested.

So stop blaming them for doing something right in the past and something right for the present.

Hey saintetienne...tells like it is...bush has done a pretty good job of running this country into the ground. At least when Clinton left office we had money in the coffers. Don't expect that from bush. The only coffers money will be in for him is his pockets. And guess what....it's our money.

Our dollar is now worth almost the same as Canada's.

As far as being wealthier, happier, etc. please don't even try and say it's all bush's doing because that is crap.

And he has ran it into the ground whether you are smart enough to see is a whole different issue.

And CrazyRay....as far as Clinton's 2nd term being useless. I don't consider sitting aside wilderness areas to be protected againts jerks like bush useless. And if that is all he did better that than bushes 2nd term of chaos.

Alfalfa....too soon we forget. When clinton's terms were over there was indeed money in the coffers. This country was in the black for the first time in many many years. When bush came into office he decided to give that money to the citizens in the amount of $6oo.oo per couple. It should have been left there in the coffers. Didn't you get your $600.00??? You don't seriously think he took out of his pocket to give to the American people do you????

Well, I can also say my spouse and myself have never been as financially secure, happier, well-traveled and well-fed. Only two differences..... mine's been for the last 15-16 years AND we did it dispite any president's crap. Hope yours has been the same and you don't give any credit to bush.

My life is a great one and I am one to owe it to my own and spouse's hard work to make it good dispite the presidental political arena that has gone on for decades. Am I a fool for believing we creat our own situations rather than blame on presidents? Maybe, but I sleep well knowing my spouses and my hard work has made our lives better.

Again, I apologize for saying things so nastily.
