Happy Birthday, Netscape! - The Netscape Blog »
Posted by: Fedquip 2 years, 6 months agoAs strange as it may seem, the "social edition" of Netscape launched exactly one year ago today. We've come a long way since then, with a rapidly expanding community of more than 268,000 members and millions of other weekly visitors.

June 15, 2007, 5:48 p.m.Congratulations. While the process has been slow at times, I can see things are finally moving in the right direction again. I am pleased to be using the new Netscape Navigator as I type this; I had abandoned the Netscape Browser for Firefox due to problems with version 8, and I'm glad to be using my favorite browser again.
What is great about the new Netscape is that it actually feels like the developers are concerned about what features we want to see in both the site and the browser. I don't recall any other products I've used where I could actually get on a site and discuss ideas with the people working on it. I've been using the revamped site since it was unveiled in beta form, and it has improved so dramatically since that time. I look forward to what the future holds. This anniversary is meaningful because it is not just about the rejuvenation of a site, it's about the rebirth of a great brand that I have used since I first logged on to the Internet 10 or so years ago.

Not So Fast....
Nothing Really to be Happy about, except maybe the Netscape staff that still have their jobs?
The Old Netscape was far better than this version.. The so-called new Netscape caused many Users Problems they should have never encountered... One of the main issues with the new install was the Lack of QA Quality Control testing and poor design... The Netscape users paid the price for the lack of professionalism and IT experience on the part of the New netscape GM Jason Calicalis and jason Jr. ala CK... Thank Goodness both are gone now, maybe Netscape can improve without causing more problems for dedicated users???

June 16, 2007, 10:49 p.m.What's a matter Neophile? No sense of humor. You go ahead and neg away. You are a very small minded person and are all about yourself. How does it feel to be one of the most disliked staff members at NS? You are a disgrace to your fellow staff members. You have the maturity of a 2 year old. Remember though, you are not completely useless, you make the perfect bad example.
