Why does this type of thing seem to happen a lot? I mean most of the time they say the family is happy and seem like really great people and then one day something just leads them to do something so horrific such as what happened with this wrestler. What goes on????

Seriously, why doesn't the human race learn from all of these unfortunate mistakes? I can't believe people take steroids knowing all of the bad side effects. Not saying this is the cause but even steroids generally speaking, how can people take them?

I wonder how the WWE feels after everyone poured out their hearts and mentioned how good a family man Benoit Was in the three hour tribute. Of course they thought, like many of us did that it had been a murder commited by someone else. It is truly a tragic thing. God Bless the families.

I have known 'roid users. They always will tell you that they don't have mood swings. But that is not the reality. It may as well be heroin because you are knowingly injesting yourself with a substance that is guaranteed to cause harm to you and likely those around you.

Probably no other activity where steroids would be more helpful than pro wrestling where these guys have to perform at a high level night after night, city after city. Steroids don't necessarily make you big, work is required, but the muscle recovery time is shortened dramatically. These guys spend long periods of time in the gym on a daily basis.

Surely Woman knew the potential for violence from this man, just a shame the kid had to be involved. How do you kill that which you brought into the world and nurtured? Bizarre.

How have the mighty fallen. I liked Chris Benoit. what a tragedy for the whole family. I have been depressed and psychotic, and I can sympathize. If only Chris Benoit had sought help, medical help, they all might be alive.

Wait, why hasn't anyone said he killed his wife because he was white? I mean all day on the Jessie Davis story, I read the most stereotypical reasons why Cutts killed her because of his and her RACE. But a white man does the same thing, and all I'm reading is sympathy comments. Now please explain that one.

its beyond me why anyone watches this spectacle of steroid abuse on parade--even the women are beyond cartoon images--steroids are a cancer in this and every legitimate sport..barry bonds is as much a fake as any big time wrestler--they dont allow corked bats but you can chemically pump your body up to hulk proportions..just like politics they depend on the ignorance of the public

I don't give a flying **** about anything that happens to sports or movie celebs. Most of them live larger in a few short years than the rest of us live in 50 years. They take up valuable ink and space in newspapers and magazines. I am sorry the wife and child had to suffer.

I take steroids and have done so since my kidney transplant. They allow me to live. But the initial doses were so strong that I became volatile. So much so that I attempted suicide to put me out of the misery I was causing my family. Finally I stopped all but a little of the drugs, just enough to keep my kidney functioning. I am truly sorry Benoits family had to suffer for his actions. His taking steroids wasn't a life or death situation.

These damn Swollen knuckleheads and their Rhoid rage tantrums cause all kinds of trouble.

                                    Steroids are bad news...period!

We had a guy popping them on our vessel once...he went from about 170 to 270 pounds in a few months. Along the way, he had one violent episode after the next, including the one that finally got him fired. He tossed a coke can across the galley and struck a girl in the forehead; knocking her senseless.

Turns out he was sexually harassing her and blew up over a refused advance or other innuendo.

About five Marine guys jumped on him and despite his ridiculous physique, he took a serious ass kicking.

He was lashed to a gourney and carted away by the Coast Guard in a slathering rage.

People who take steroids are prone to numerous mental and physical ailments. Personally, I believe if you take them for social or performance reasons you're a gawddamn idiot.

this shouldnt be a suprise, professional wrestlers are known to have problems. does anyone know enough to really say that steroids played a big role in this? i mean, dont get me wrong, i think it was steroids just as much as everyone else but is this practical? would long term steroid use really cause you to lose your mind like this? its not like he got ******ed and killed everyone in a matter of an hour, it was over the course of 2-3 days. i think it could be just as much the stress of being a wrestler, traveling constantly, always being away from home, dealing with all the other psychos involved in pro-wrestling as it could have been steroid use. anyone who has watched him though should have seen he was not right. he always had a fire in his eyes that most pro-wrestlers dont have, to me he seemed to just come off like a psycho, and it didnt seem like it was just an on-stage 'character'. with murdering aside you can not take away from the fact that he was good at what he did.

Roid's rage is a myth, I agree that some people on steroids act crazy and have mood swings though it is more about the diet. Steroids won't make you lose your temper if you are not crazy already. like alcohol or drugs it will affect your judgement if you are hot blooded already. I have a friend which get crazy even after the first injection, it is in his mind...Always blame steroids when something like this happen to someone who work out every day but how many people kill their wife or friends or kids and never use Steroid. maybe it was just depressed because his wife wanted to leave him. But it is so sad for all of them, we never know what life has in storage for us...Don't blame this on Steroid there are more death by drinking or smoking but it is LEGAL.

The sad thing is everyone is dead and no heirs are left to enjoy his fortune that he ******ed away.

But wait, he has 2 other kids-I wonder how old.

I am sure these kinds of stories disappoint the media because they can not question his why? He is dead-short story. The only hope is if the kids are older and will battle on national television for the fortune. People like that usually owe the irs too.

Having a sister who always looked happy I understand a little bit better than some. She had a husband and two children. Everyone thought they were the perfect family. Turns out that she smiled instead of crying and she knew that if she let anyone know that she and her children were being battered her husband would get angry. She knew, as well as the kids, that would only be bad. Well after 18 years of marriage, he killed her. She finally asked for a divorce. The community attending her funeral said, "They looked so happy". People can mask what they must to protect themselves. The kids went to school and pretended and she went to her job and pretended. And, as a side note, unlike all the movies portray, she was highly educated and worked at a prestigous hospital in a position that paid six figures.
