So I guess Al Gore has more in common with republicans and their families than anyone thought. Especially if it was Oxy his kid got caught with.

It might just be that anyone can screw up regardless of their politics. He has muliple arrests for drugs. Maybe he can get the name of a good rehab facilty from Paris or Lindsey! Bill told him it was OK to swallow that stuff, but just don't digest it.

Yeah, on account of Democrats are such upstanding people and never ever susceptible to addiction. I wouldn't go casting stones at Republicans when you know full well Democrats and pretty much all others are equally apt to get addicted to various substances.
At least this kid wasn't drunk, crashed into a river and scrambled to save his own hind end while a campaign volunteer drowned. He does have that going for him, unlike at least one democrat I know. Too bad you had to stop so low, Aidenag. Not that it's surprising.
But who is dumb enough to speed 100mph smoking pot in a car containing many other drugs? I guess Al Gore's kid.

Who cares!!!! All people do is complain about anything they can. people are pathetic now a days.
Republicans are the biggest underhanded cheats the solar system has ever seen. And they continue to lie to your face.
Democrats are what they are.
The bottom line is Al Gore is still wright about the
earth and its problems. Everyones IGNORANCE is quit bliss !!

That's not a real question is it? Forget the actual politics and show me even a handful of children in America who would choose to be a politician's child. Would YOU like to be the 12-yr-old or 16-yr-old daughter of a politician?

The deputies said they smelled marijuana and searched the car, Amormino said. They found less than an ounce of marijuana along with Xanax, Valium, Vicodin and Adderall, which is used for attention deficit disorder, he said.
"He does not have a prescription for any of those drugs," Amormino said.

More likely trying to escape. I might could handle it now that I'm fifty if my parent were a politician, but if I were under thirty I'd be living abroad under an assumed name.

Truth be told, the real reason that this is being promoted is not becaue people are concerned about the welfare or situation of the person arrested, but because they are engaged in a smear campaign against Al Gore.

Does this young man not know what he is doing to his personal "environment"? Perhaps "Tipper the Sipper" could give up her evening "Tab and a Dab" - that's southern for diet cola and bourbon (preferably Maker's Mark). A perennial favorite with well bred southern women.
This kid needs his sorry A-s globally warmed with his Father's boot but the old man's too busy saving the world to save his own son. Pathetic!

You know, the older my kids get, the more it seems that how they turn out is a total crap shoot. I've seen kids with really involved, supportive parents turn out terrible and I've seen neglected kids turn out great.
Although I have no use for Gore as a politician, statesman or global warming advocate, I am sorry for his trouble with his kid and I hope he can get straightened out.

Well, that is very true. Al is a putz IMAO but I raised four kids and lost one to crack so I do know what you mean about a crap shoot. People in the end, make their own choices BUT, it's a parents job to see that they have a good shot at making the right choices. The rest, well, as you said, it's a crap shoot. But best not play with "loaded" dice if you will pardon the pun.

Additional thought - Big Al needs to spend more time with his son and less time making up stories about the world coming to an end - Who was it that used to do that - Chicken Little? "OMG, the sky is falling!" - how about "OMG, my son needs some guidance?"

Seeing as how all you rule of law neocons feel about illegal drug use (with the exception of Rush) I'm sure you all are hoping he gets the same harsh treatment Noelle got.

I don't think you would think it very "cool" if one of these drunk, or stoned morons (of whatever political party) drove their car at 100MPH and ran into another vehicle with you or your family in it. How "Cool" is that?
People who take drugs and drive, drink and drive, exceed the speed limit and break our laws - no matter who they are, how much money they have or their position of leadership or political party ARE ALL CRIMINALS AND FOOLS and should be punished to the full extent of the law. But we know that's not going to happen so we post our frustration against ALL OF THE PRIVILEDGED, THE RICH and THE POWERFUL who seem to think they don't have to follow the same rules as us common folk - It ain't about politics - its about the fact that there are assho-es in this world who endanget the safety of the rest of us by their selfish and stupid behaviour be they named Bush, or Kennedy, or Gore, or Hilton. Asshol-s all!

He may be over 21 but he's no adult. He's simply the spoiled child (brat) of a powerful man, who has no idea of personal or moral responsibility - for whatever reason. Perhaps he was not properly raised by his parents, perhaps he is flawed mentally or he simply is a congenital moron without a social conscience, who knows? This is not about politics per se. But if you ARE in politics, this kind of occasional flogging frenzy is the price you pay for feeding at the public trough. In ancient Rome, the populice used to do the same thing to their flawed leadership in graffiti on any public building.

Actually, unless you are saying the son is trying to smear his own father, then your post is pointless.
