As long as he can recite talking points, that's all his potential constituency requires. Really, just a non-story. Go about your business - nothing to see here.

I read a few of the comments on the article. One contains a snippet of the transcript of Thompson's questioning of John Dean during the Watergate hearings. It is quite telling:

Thompson: Mr. ah Dean let me ask you a few questions about ah your actions after the Watergate incident. And by asking you questions about your own personal involvement ah, ah hope I'm not ah considered to be badgering you in any way but I'm sure you realize as one lawyer to another Ã;¢;Ã;¦

      Dean: I understand

Thompson: Ã;¢;Ã;¦that your actions and motivations are very relevant

Dean: In fact if I were still at the White House I'd probably be feeding you the questions to ask the person who's sitting here

      (Heavy laughter)

These Nixon tapes again. The present administration loses emails and won't testify on the record. Lesson learned.

Unfortunately, the neocon nuts don't look at intelligence nor common sense as well. Otherwise, we would not have the fiasco we have today!

                  Ani,

Why is it over the course of the decades and across the political spectrum, we have had debates for Catholics only, Jews only, women only, blacks only, Hispanics only, etc.? Why shouldn't gays have a forum from which they express issues which are relevant to us as Americans? Why should they be left out? Why are you so opposed to gays and lesbians?
