You are Destroying America. Yes, You. »

Posted by: populist 2 years, 4 months ago

Terrorism will never destroy America. It will come from within. From fear-addicts who have raped the U.S. so much that they should be drawn up on charges of treason. The cowards who want a nanny state to coddle them, hug them, and ultimately contain them in a little crib with bars and monitors and cameras.

"If ye love wealth greater than Liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."

"These are the whining tantrum-throwers who live in such a fear-choked world that they will trade in America's Constitution and Bill of Rights for far less than thirty pieces of silver."

People like that congregated on that National Review cruise I posted about.

        A modern conversion:

30 pieces of silver=Money paid by FOX Noise to pundits who want to hang American citizens who are against the war, against the fascism, against the greed, against the president, etc.

From the article: "When we're attacked again, we need to stand strong and firm and fight, against those barbarians who hurt us and against those opportunistic politicians who will try to exploit the tragedy."

Yes. YeS YES! Thank you for this post. From dependence on electricity to the inability to cook basic meals, we have become a society that is helpless. We feed ourselves with fast food and TV dinners. We drive to a grocery store two blocks away. We have no idea how to darn a sock or patch a tear in our clothes without some iron on thingy from the store. Sensing our helplessness in the face of this enormous lack of survival skills, we panic at the thought of not being able to watch TV and drink beer just like always. Therefore, the politicians can easily frighten us.

I am glad to be old. Glad that I know how to grow and can tomatoes. Delighted that I have chickens that produce eggs and that my water comes from our own well.

Through "Fear" the Bush administration holds reins. Why cannot the media bring home this truism.

Sad, many Americans are pulled into the deception and blindly follow without question. Bush is the end product with his tactic of using "Fear" to retain power and his faulty leadership.

If only America would just stop meddling and be a fair trading partner with all nations, would we then not be so despised in the eyes of many nations. Why must we be the world authority who dictate norms?

Heres one from my hero, Rush, "Thou shalt give oxycotin to your dog before you give praise to an American who is also a democrat."

Or I likes this one from Bill Oreilly, "Dont never vote for a woman named Hillery, unless you asks her to let you ride her likes a filly-ery." (then send her explicit phone messages)

This ones from Newt, "Ask not whut your GOP can do fer you, ask how wuz it we shut down the national goverment in the 90s."

I loves quoting my favorite Republican Leaders.

Oh, forgot this one from Diick Cheney, "Give me no bid contracts, or give me death!".

And then thars GW. = "And verily, God said unto me, go into Iraq and let Republican vengance rain down upon Iraqis till they bow down before me".

And my favorite from Tommy Delay, "Money makes the world go round, the world go round, the world go round, money makes the world go round, on that you can depend.".

My GOP heroes. Poets each and ever one!!

After I read a story like this I just think back to the days following 911. In those days I saw what makes the U.S. great as far as it's citizens are concerened, everyone came together and pulled as one, there was no need for special government or Presidential powers there was no need for new laws. As I watched I saw no looting or chaos on the streets, I saw no police having to shoot dangerous citizens, I didn't even see the fear that the government keeps talking about. The average American citizen came forward to do whatever had to be done, I agree with this artical that the threat will come from within , It will come from people trusting government, it will come from people not questioning the government and it will come from people just sitting waiting until the next election to voice their objections.

WAKE UP! BY THEN IT MAY BE TO LATE.

It's a shame we don't hear commentary like this from the mainstream media. Especially given how liberal it's supposed to be. Thank goodness for the outlets like this.

Great post and follow up quotes. Here's one:

How many innocent persons were harmed by the Patriot Act. (The same Patriot Act approved by the Democratic Congress). That would be NONE because the rules are reasonable and needed. The left attempts far more reaching rules for every American in their every day life. If you want to know who is ruining this country, start with the ACLU and then anyone that supports them. I wish they had weed and feed to take care of the problem.

The part about the nanny state really hits home. As well as the part about the people who want to be protected above all else. I heard once that people in the U.S. are too afraid to be free. That we arent willing to pay the price. What we have all forgotten is that freedom is an individual responsibility and that to be free is not free. There is a cost to freedom, and the only coins that will buy it are personal responsibility, courage, and guts. Dont ever look to the government to give it to you... you have to earn it!
