This is Bull $hit!. The guy has no criminal background, no history of wrongdoing, he just like little girls. So we treat him like a criminal?

And the lesson every pedophile with no record will learn? Never admit your prediliction, not to anyone.
Could we possibly label this guy the LEAST dangerous pedophile in California? I mean, it's not like he's going to catch most of the parents there unaware!

have you ever had one of your children kidnapped out of your home and savagely raped by a pedophile? well i have, and guess what? he had no prior criminal history. not only should they lock him up immediatley, they should brand the word PEDOPHILE onto his forehead.this is exactly what needs to happen..they should have their faces plastered everywhere so those who dont have priors will be pointed out.

First we should chop off his balls, he will change.
Yeah, that is the reason hands are chopped off for thieves and heads are chopped off for murderers, here the societies change change, criminals fear, if this is suggested by Muslims you would call them uncivilized and seventh century religion if you do it it is civilized and Democratic, same old and rusty opinion.

I am sure that you consider yourself to be a good American citizen. Perhaps you should try reading the Constitution of the United States one more time and see if such a punishment is permitted or prohibited under it auspices.

Pathetic American justice system at work. Who is going to follow this rapist with a measuring tape?

So, since you've called him a rapist, could you please post a list of everyone he's ever raped?
"Jane Does" will do.

No body needs to follow him with a measuring tape. The problem is that the law has been unable to act in a case where they clearly should be able to, so the court gate the police as tool.
If he is observed to violate this restraining order, the police now have something they can act on.

My girlfriend has a restarianing order against her abusive husband. NOBODY enforces these things. She calls every time he shows, but he leaves before the police arrive. Moms and Dads, watch your children, by the time the police arrive, they will be dead in a field somewhere, and this self confessed pedofile will be running free on his "stay away from 18 year olds and under order".
"First we should chop off his balls, he will change." You go OldRusty,

First, this guy will be the most-watched pedophile in the state. Chances are, if anyone gets arrested for violating a restraining order, it'll be him.
Second, what are the chances this guy will actually get his hands on a kid? Probably less than any other pedophile in the state.
Third, the vast majority of sex offenders do not kill their victims.

The dude is weird. With that said, he hasn't proven himself a danger to kids. He takes their picture. He hasn't committed any crimes. And the court over is overly broad and probably unenforceable. If his attraction is girls, why is he ordered to stay away from boys? What's he to do if he is walking down the street (not stalking, just walking down the street)? At the grocery store? Is he attracted to infants under 1 yr old? He's ordered to stay away from them too.
People seem to be reacting out of hysteria. He's in a restaurant and a woman calls the cops on him (no mention that he was snapping pictures or 'oogling', just at the restaurant). He takes pictures on a public street. Actually, last I heard that was legal, although there seems to be a push to take that right away also.
Maybe this guy is actually intending to test the limits of our culture by being detestable but not illegal. Of course, that would take an intelligence that I'm not sure this guy has.

"People seem to be reacting out of hysteria."
And that's it in a nutshell. You mention the phrase, "sex offender", and most people's IQs seem to drop about 20 points. Which is probably why this is still a serious problem in our culture.
I'm convinced that a hundred years from now, people will look back on the way we deal with sex offenders and equate us with the people in Salem who executed people for witchcraft.

Where do we draw the line. In our society where does right and wrong come from? What makes what this guy is doing wrong and other sexually permissive lifestyles okay? It's just a mattter of time as this society becomes more "sexually liberated" that we will have our own child districs like they do in Amsterdam and Thailand. Just give them time and this will be normal too.

Would you be ok with this guy teaching your child? being a day care provider? a scout leader? would you trust this man to be alone with your little girl? he hasn't committed a crime...so if you say no, why not?
I most certainly without any doubt would not leave my child anywhere near him. I think he is trying to help himself to protect little girls against what he may do. Why else would someone admit to something so vile?
With all the people I know who have been molested, I cannot say I have any sympathy for these people, but on the other hand- how horrible it must be to be a monster.

Unfortunately, this is a difficult situation. Even if he admits it, technically he has not done anything wrong, and he has not directly threatened anyone. At the same time, if he is not a criminal, how can you enforce a restraining order, every second he is out of the house? Isn't this a free country?
That is the conundrum.
At the same time, the greater danger is not what he may be, but is how we teach our kids. They need to be aware of the danger of him and every other undeclared pedophile.
Reply-

el-jefe1 year, 11 months ago
How do we teach our kids? "There are bad people out there who like to hurt kids. I will do everything I can to keep them away from you. Here's what you can do to help protect yourself and be safe..."
They may be "innocent", but even toddlers are clear on the concept of bad people doing bad things. How many of the stories they are exposed to have villains? Enough that a lot of kids fantasize about "beating up bad guys".
Even small kids can learn the difference between good touches and bad touches. It's just part of world-proofing your child, much like teaching them how and when to dial 911, or how to get out of a burning building, or to always buckle their safety belt. Done right, building this awareness is probably more frightening to the parent than to the child.

just to enterject my 2 cents. this guy is not allowed within 30 feet of anyone under the age of 18 year's of age, correct? well the way i see this court order will be impossible for him to live by and the law to enforce, as this will not allow him to shop at food market's, mall's, department store's, walk down the city street's and will violate his constitutional right's.(IMO)

the court order is un-enforceable and/or would be over turned in an appeal in the higher courts. too, it possibly sets the stage for california to lose a maga discrimination law suit should he file one.

His sexual identity or orientation has not become part of the public knowledge. He is a self-proclaimed pedophile, but has not said if he is gay, bisexual, or straight. Pedophilia like rape is more about power than sex. It is about corrupting another person and taking something from the other person; sexual orientation does not enter into that.

Its a restriction that cant be enforced unless...you put him in jail, esp in california, the most populated state is going to have a s**tload of kids in it. Not only that how are you going to know a girl is under 18. Some girls go looking for older guys on purpose and let's face it I'm positive every man has been attracted to a girl under 18, we dont walk around with our ages printed on our foreheads. My 13 year old cousin is well built for her age (petite w/curves) but has a baby face (like 10 years old). She BRAGS that once a man thought she was 19. I told her "oh no he didnt think you were 19, he WISHED you were 19." he knew he was coveting a child. Men like them young, tight, and curvy that is not a secret. When i was under 18 older guys looked all the time (i looked older too), and approached. If it wasnt a law guys would be in high schools looking for the naive and inexperienced.

Sad but true vinyang, and those people would be proud for snagging a 16 year old. That is just sick. Children need the protection that society can afford them. You are right, he should be in jail, but first he has to commit a crime. So far, he has not even come close enough to being charged.

Now I know when corporations post pictures of people online for winning prizes or being spokespeople, the companies must have the person's consent to having their likenesses uploaded to the public domain. He may be within his legal rights by taking the pictures, but can he post them without consent? Seems to me, that would be how ends up being apprehended.

this reminds me of that not so popular but good patti labelle song "yo mister" for some reason...maybe b/c im listening to it right now. Kind of relates to the thread, about a teen girl living fast and getting killed, after being neglected and thrown out by her father for her rebellious ways. Im sure girls in this situation are very susceptible to being taken advantage of by older guys.

After reading thru all these comments, I think that people without children are preaching the "Law" and treating this creep with fairness.
If any of you had kids then you wouldn't even think twice about treating this sick man fairly. The funny thing with pedophiles is that they keep on going after kids UNTIL they get caught.
To Catch A Predator...See with your own eyes how this creeps work.

"The funny thing with pedophiles is that they keep on going after kids UNTIL they get caught."
Evidence? Albeit, I am a college student and don't have children, but I think a lot of the "facts" that get thrown around about pedophiles by popular media and society have been largely discredited by psychologists.
There's no evidence that all pedophiles go after children, mainly because most pedophiles, except for the person in the article, don't declare that they're pedophiles. To Catch A Predator is not the golden standard for pedophile behavior.
I understand you're worried, but the emotional argument you give doesn't justify punishing someone for not committing a crime.

Dont have kids, but i was molested for four years so maybe some of us out there can understand. You dont have to have lost someone in your family to gun violence to be against it. For every one of him that is admitting to it before he even does something, there are 20 of them fondling or getting oral from a child right now who say "if you love me you wouldnt tell your mommy". When it comes to sex crimes you need to be looking at family members more than 'stranger danger'.

The problem I have with the whole thing is the website. OK, maybe he has not done anything legally wrong, but he is posting "lg" pictures for other sickos to see. So he tells them where he was at and now others know where to go. There is definitely something wrong when you find little kids sexually attractive. I applause the parents that are taking action.

To all the people who are going "OH NOES HE'S ATTRACTED TO CHILDREN, WHAT A HORRIBLE MONSTER!":
One does not choose their own sexual preferences. You have no more control over being a pedophile than you do over being gay, having a foot fetish, or any other such thing. You are stuck with whatever hand fate deals you whether you like it or not. You shouldn't be calling for the death or imprisonment of people who think things you don't like, lest your own ideas become unpopular.

You are obviously NOT God and I would strongly advise you to pick another name! What you are saying is that we should let people alone, no matter what they desire to do, to each his own...that means homocidal maniacs, habitual thieves, sadists and masochists, pedophiles, child molesters...all of whom feel compelled to do what they do! It is a cruel fallacy! One of the worst catch phrases ever to be promulgated throughout our society was one touted by a popular female sex therapist, Dr. Ruth Westheimer: "If it feels good, do it!" It might feel good to me to slit your throat, but it would not only be wrong, it would be criminal for me to do it! Furthermore, if I stated publicly that I would enjoy slitting your throat, but I haven't ever done it,I bet you wouldn't be opposed to a court ordering me to keep my distance from you!

That's just it, there is no conundrum. The restraining order is BS with a capital BS.
People can get together and discuss if he's violated ANY law, but they need to leave the guy alone until he does something. A blanket restraining order is just knee jerk BS.

A pedophile is a peson who is sexually attracted to children. Having sex with a child is a crime and the intent to have sex with a child is also a crime. A lot of psychologists and psychiatrists have stated that there is no known cure for pedophilia and that nobody has ever been cured of pedophilia. Just because this nutcase has said he would never carry out his addiction means absolutely nothing, because sickos never tell the truth and never admit to wanting to commit a wrongdoing just like alcoholics never admit to being an alcoholic. Humans are animals and deranged animals are exterminated.

Intent factors into the penalty phase of a crime once that crime is committed, i.e. 1st degree murder, manslaughter etc.
But is intent in itself with no criminal act a crime?
You can only punish actions, not intentions, right? [Tho once an action is committed, the law figures in intention]
How could one even prove or recognize intent without an act to recognize it with?
I don't know law, but that sounds fishy to me.

People keep defending this Monster. He is the sick one. Once again, the people defending him obviously dont have kids. There is no telling what he has done in the past. He says he has done nothing but seriously. Lindsay Lohan said the drugs in her pants pocket werent hers.
