Architect of Adversity - Rove Resignation Not End Of Road? »
Posted by: trnscndr 2 years, 4 months agoThe man many refer to as "Bush's Brain" and the one Bush called "The Architect" has turned out certainly to have been the greatest architect of adversity to ever guide the political decisions of a President in the history of the institution. One thing for sure, we will never know what kind of Presidency would have occurred witho

Aug. 13, 2007, 11 p.m.Very well put! I would say it is amazing he has been seen so little; but I have a feeling we will see more of him as neither he nor America are done...

Aug. 13, 2007, 11:15 p.m.As a "true-blood, patriotic Christian" he'll want to write his memoirs (after getting a princely advance, of course!) and then wind up on the Board of Directors of one of those "patriotic" Texas corporations, who have enjoyed government-"contracts" all these misbegotten years of the Dubya Regime!
But fear not the absence of any "brain" in the WH - there's still Cheney.....

Aug. 13, 2007, 11:30 p.m.Karl Rove is not going anywhere. Possibilities include running Fred Thompson's campaign, should it ever officially start. That weasel will be behind whatever dirty tricks occur between now and the election and beyond...you can count on it!

Aug. 14, 2007, 12:42 a.m.You are right Scott. The percentage of primary voters is sadly very very low, allowing a handful to pick the candidates. Lets promise to each other we will vote in the primary, it could make a huge difference.

Aug. 14, 2007, 12:47 a.m.I have 2 issues with Mrs.Clinton. She was able to raise vast amounts of support money (ultimately bribes)from corporate bazztards. And She supported the war in Iraq initially, yes based on poor intel and lies, but still a bad series of choices.

Aug. 14, 2007, 12:55 a.m.Well its not going to be difficult for me. If it comes down to Hillary or a republican, I will vote for Hillary. She is not my favorite candidate however, but no more republicans please. Not for 2008 anyway, maybe later when they decide to return to the party they used to be.

Aug. 14, 2007, 2:16 a.m.I'm thinking he'll be behind the curtain working for Giulliani or Thompson as well (and if he's working against Romney, I'm sickly curious what stories he'll cook up).. as far as voting in the primaries, I think I'm locked on Edwards (he's survived one vice-presidential run against rove and co., after all), the others can be smeared and feared too easily and we all know America is extremely shallow politically.. of course given any option for pres, I'd draft Stephen Colbert.. but that's just me and my wishful thinking.

Aug. 14, 2007, 7:07 a.m.He helped the President in such a way that most countries and people around the world hate us more than ever before.
Clinton, Carter have the luxury of taking morning walks, stopping at Starbucks for a coffee and mingle with ordinary people. I wonder if the current President and his team who broke every domestic and international law would be able to do the same.
Say thanks to this guy who shaped it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aug. 14, 2007, 7:18 a.m.Just think 2000 Bush LOST the election as he did in 2004. Karl Rove will pay for his evil. After 1/20/2009, let's throw the book at him!!

Aug. 14, 2007, 8:22 a.m.Let's just hope that this time around the general public doesn't fall for the "smear campaigns"that Karl is so famous for. Take a little time people, research your candidate, it's important!

Aug. 14, 2007, 8:58 a.m.I may get chewed out over this comment but I still haven't found it in myself to really hate President Bush, I think he might have made not to bad of a president if he had of had some good people behind him. To me he seems like a person who tries really hard to please the people around him, the problem being those people did not have the best interests of the nation on their minds, the two who come to mind are Cheney and Rove, although there were many others. Any time I see a picture of those two in the backbround with the President they seem to be thinking, come on George say it like we planned and don't screw up.

Aug. 14, 2007, 12:45 p.m.Better yet after a real investigation see if his family made money from his actions and seize it like with any criminal, make them all repay the money they stole and swindled. It could help rebuild the country their trying to destroy.

Aug. 14, 2007, 11:42 a.m.The KR legacy: a never-ending effort to politicize every issue from social security through...well, you name it. This was and will always be the great evil of the Bush Jr. regime.

Aug. 14, 2007, 11:42 a.m.Rove is an ideological fascist.
Cheney is a corporate fascist.
They both vied for control of the dry-drunk, coke-addled George W. Bush's soul.
Rove had it.
Now Cheney (and Carlyle Group) will control W.

Aug. 14, 2007, 11:44 a.m.Karl Rove told the WSJ: "I'm not going to stay or leave based on whether it pleases the mob.
Why of course not, he's part of the mob of gangsters who've hijacked our country. But beware of other mobs who have long memories. He better have some hired guards around him at all times.
And is it just me, but doesn't Rove and Limbaugh look a like? Two turds in a pod.

Aug. 14, 2007, 11:45 a.m.And Canadian, perhaps distance lends a degree of enchantment. I for one hate, hate, hate Bush--not the man, whom I don't know personally, but everything else which he stands for and embodies. (Hey--does that equal hating the man?)

Aug. 14, 2007, 1:31 p.m.Bush still has higher poll numbers then the congress that opposes him. Republicans traditionally have lower poll numbers than Democrats because of their daily flogging from the main stream liberal press!

Aug. 14, 2007, 1:35 p.m.Excellent article!
What a truly evil man who has masterminded the unethical goings on of this administration. It is enough to nauseate and appaul anyone with the least of morals.

Aug. 14, 2007, 2:02 p.m.Rove's talent was in applying modern business marketing analysis to politics. He made a science of analyzing the demographics in order to figure out exactly how candidates can appeal to voters. His work has had a divisive impact and has done much to fuel the polarization that exists in today's politics. He activated large blocs of single-issue voters and made an art of dumbing down a candidate's message to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

Aug. 14, 2007, 2:03 p.m.my thoughts on Rove are this:
because of his really horible past,
Mother Suicide
father deserts them
step dad...very gay (shameful for the kids)
Rove decided to become a "strike first" kinda person.
He will smear you before you even have a chance to get at him.
I doubt many in Washington have sucha screwed up past as Rove.
It is really just his way of protecting himself.
It is all about him and his peanut sized ego.
Pure and Simple.
I would feel sorry for the Guy if he wasnt so EVIL.
