As far as leaving before the SHTF...yeah, he kinda has to. I don't believe Hitlary will let him be involved in her administration that will bring chaos to the masses.

He is one person that I would not mind leaving-Washington, DC, Texas, Country, this planet!
His mentor, Lee Atwater, cried on his deathbed: "I am sorry for all the mean and bad things I did , and I ask for forgiveness!" (I am paraphrasing here!)
That after character assassination of several people, including Michael Dukakis, and playing dirtiest of dirty politics for his then boss, George HW Bush!
Like his father, Dumbya inherited Atwater's protege' and all his dirty tricks with Karl Rove! He is the root of the evil for the past 7 1/2 years (I am including the '00 elections)and responsible for tearing this wonderful country of ours apart and turning friends into enemies!
He has no soul and he has nothing else either.
I hope his wife does not get the same abuse as he has heaped up on our country.
Good riddance, Carl, hope we never see you or your likes again! I hope Congress finds something serious on this sleazebag to put him away for the rest of his life!

OH No folks ...this is another strategical move by the GOP E Ring (Group 41). It's a move to place Rove in position to steer the 08 Elections!
In order to keep an eye out on this criminal dirtbag, the DNC needs to assign a group of individuals to track the whereabouts & doings of KR ...24/7!!!
Then once the Democrats take over the Presidency, they need to throw this douchebag into prison and throw the key away.

I noticed that msaleem sank your story, and posted a story on the same subject.
I commented on that on his post, and I am repeating it here for the benefit of others:
*********
msaleem,
I noticed that you sank a story on the same subject posted by
insideoutgraphics, and now you are posting this story!
Sounds a little less than honest to me!
Considering that you are one of the Navigators, this really gives a bad flavor!
I am sure you have some excuse/exp... for this. If you do, I would like to read it.

Can the bastard still claim "Executive Privilege" once he is no longer a member of the Administration? What ever happens from now on I just hope the DNC uses Rovian tactics against him and whoever may want to hire him for 'o8. He needs to be nailed to the wall. All of his lies need to be exposed. We can't turn the clock back but we can keep him from doing more damage in the future.

It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood:-) But we also must figure WHY he's resigned. Because it really cannot be for wanting to spend time w/ his family. Politics is his family and if he's resigning from his real family, then there has to be a damn good reason and Rove seldom makes moves w/o critical calculations, that are gainful for him.
Lets see, voter fraud/intimidation,tactics
Obstruction of Justice
Someone has something on him which will be coming out soon? Just a guess.
I wonder what his resignation is related to. Which committee ?
Questions questions and more questions. Inquiring minds NEED TO KNOW
BUH BYE KARL....you BAST$$D , Do Not Pass Go Go Directly to Jail.....which GWB will pardon anyway...but we need to look at all of the data that surrounds KARL the SNARL. Then link all dots and see what was the straw that broke that camel's arse. Or what he is running from anyway. Time will tell I suppose.
But it is a good day so lets enjoy it.
OMG What if he enters the race?

Gee!!! Everything has to have a sinister meaning to libs.
What SHTF is there that is a real fact are you libs talking about??
Its not Iraq. Democrat front runners are now backing off of the pull out now because they understand what the report in September will say but the rabid radicals don't get it. The front runners are no saying that troops will be needed there for years.

endo -"Everything has to have a sinister meaning to libs."
Let's see:
Rigging elections.
Falsified evidence to justify War.
Labelling all liberals cowards/traitors
Swift boat tactics to smear medal-winning Kerry. Bush has never come close to battle.
Electronic spying on Americans.
Condoning torture, violating Geneva conventions. Secret concentration camps in foreign countries.
Firing generals for dissenting.
No bid contracts to Halliburton.
Outing Plame.
Libby pardon.
Firing prosecutors for political reasons.
Massive amounts of missing emails.
Cheney hiding WH documents from permanent records by using RNC computers.
etc., etc.
Can neocons discern any pattern or universal characteristic of this string of events? I sure can.

Demonizing political opponents (through lies and smears) was taken to new levels by the neoneocons such as Gingrich and El Drugbo Limbaugh (with many mimics to follow). It's funny to see neoneocons use their 2nd favorite tactic (after smearing based on lies)- revisionist history- and try to blame liberals for "spewing hatred and vileness"
Rove's only talent is to exploit the hatred of uneducated, ill'informed Americans thru "wedge" issues, and to use surrogates to smear political opponents (again, thru lies and misrepresentation).
You have to admit he was good at it, look at how a decorated military hero becomes perceived as "unfit for command", while a coward who used family connections to avoid service is claimed to be a strong leader.
When I say good at it, I mean he WAS good at winning elections for Bush, but the damage to our great country thru these divisive tactics is deep, severe, and long-lasting.

drivel - When republicans controlled the WH & congress, that is exactly what you did to the liberals. Anyone who dissented or even raised a question about the war was immediately labelled a coward or traitor. Remember that stupid 1st term congresswoman calling John Murtha a coward on the floor of congress? Remember "cut and run"?
Now there is more balance of power. We are simply able to point out more frequently and forcefully the mistakes and the stupidity of the past 7 years that have been foisted on the American public.
You have the gall and audacity to say that WE are spewing hatred and vileness.
Shame on you. All we want is for Bush to listen to us where we were shut out before. We want Bush to see that we WERE right on many issues relating to the war, spying, secrecy, torture, etc. If we have to say it many times, so be it. Now you have to listen to us and you don't like it.
The only difference is that now you can't say traitor to us, ..

But seriously, it is my understanding that anyone who serves in the administration past labor day is obligated to finish out the term?

From the article:
He testified five times before a federal grand jury, occasionally correcting misstatements he made in his earlier testimony...

And you guys are counting on Hillary's experience (?) for success towards taking over the White House. Or even Obama's experience (?). GEZZZZZZ........ I do admit, she has a very good chance at gaining the Presidency, but the conservatives do as well. I just can't imagine Hillary 'running the show'. It will be 'HUGE' goverment at work but this time she'll get to 'wet' the cigars.

BIG Goverment will be in place with Hillary!
