I wonder what the real reason is? Good riddance, I say.

It's about by God time. Suppose he'll go work for Halliburton?

On January 21st, 2009 let them all be arrested and have justice on all of them. Good riddance.

What are we missing? There is more to this resignation, than we are being told!

Thanks Mark for the heads up on this posting!

Erm, I think they call that "extraordinary rendition" don't they. Brought to you be the very Bush White House Karl served to build. It would be poetic justice to see him hoisted on his own petard.

Not legal but there are ways around extradition. Remember Israel and Adolph Eichmann.

If the criminal is bad enough and the desire strong enough there are ways.

Tessylo, as much as i hope you are right about that scum leaving the US, i really doubt it. He has too many years invested at being a sleeze bag to stop now. I don't think we've seen the last of that bad penny.

Karl is a political animal. The resignation frees him up to cash in on at least a book deal and (in his brain) a shot at masterminding a Republican victory in 2008. This would be Karl's opportunity to mount one more trophy upon his mantle. One denied him in his career. That being the possible scalp of a Clinton. Hillary will do.

I would expect one of two things before the 2008 Presidential election:

                      1) There will appear a scurrilous internet ad linking Hillary Clinton with a lesbian, illegal immigrant Cuban who's job it is to carry around large amounts of cash,

                      or

                      2) They'll find him in bed with a (male?) prostitute in a Virginia motel.

If Karl wants to rumble again, I say bring it on Turd Blossom!

Instead of working FOR a Republican candidate, he's going to work AGAINST Hillary Clinton. Good strategy!

Mr. Rove will no longer have the protection of White House lawyers and will be more on his own when it comes to dealing with Congressional subpoenas. He can still invoke "executive priveledge" for events that happened while he was in office, but he'll have to get his own counsel.

I just love how you folks come together to pound your puds when such things happen. Do yourselves a favor though, the drool on your chins just kind of destroys the moment for the rest of us. Oh my, that is drool isn't it?

The GOP is just getting him out of the spotlight well in advance of next year's election. He's not really going anywhere. After the years of H-bomb tests on Bikini Atoll the cockroaches were still there.

One more traitor out of this administration. Problem is it's 6 years too late. All these Criminals should be in prison for life at best or swinging from a tree in the front lawn of the White house. Every one of them is a traitor to this great nation.
