Posted By KLopez 1 year, 10 months ago in StyleIt's not fair. Why don't women get to brawl, dodge bullets and blow stuff up in the movies? Why can't women in action movies ever do anything useful? The most amazing thing Julia Stiles does in The Bourne Ultimatum is get second billing. She has about three scenes in which her character runs the gamut from concerned to worried.

Interesting, but I wouldn't say it's completely true.
There's the Resident Evil Series, Kill Bill 1&2, Grindhouse: Planet Terror and Death Proof, The Matrix Series, The Underworld Series and Ultra Violet.

Eon Flux doesn't count it was terrible and the matrix series was focused around mostly men, there was one female lead and to my recollection she did little else besides profess her loved and occationally save neo.
Those are just a few films or of how many male oreitned films?
Plus all those films you mentioned have only come out in the past few years.
