How can we trust anything that this man has to say now, i thought he is a servant of God. Not a good way to spread the word.

People are capable of good and bad behavior no matter what profession they're in. It's just disheartening when bad behavior flows out from those whose life work is to promote so called 'Christian' values. You've got to walk the walk if you're going to talk the talk.

It took a lot of courage for the bellman to jump in and help her. He may have saved her life.

Nothing personal in this comment, but I believe fundamentalism attracts those who have vacuums in their existence and need something to fulfill their lives. They lack inner strength to make decisions on their own.

Well to all who have received this message. I know that people are furios to what happened to Bynum and how Weeks displayed himself. I'm not justifing what he did because it was very wrong. He is human and he made a mistake and I really think that he is sorry. I notice that so many people had so many things to speculate on, but take a minute to reflect on the things you did in your life that was wrong. If you recall when peter was walking on the water because he had faith and he kept his eyes focused on Christ. What happen when he took his eyes off, he fell. And that's what happen to Weeks. He has set some good examples for us but he is not The Christ so don't and stop making him into a diety, because he is mere flesh like me and you. If you truly love Christ then you would begin to intercede for them both and believe that God in complete control of the outcome. Remember that the devil coms to kill, steal and destroy us saints.

How about "He committed a crime", and not just "...it was very wrong."

In this case, the right move on his chess board of life is "Bishop to County Jail"

Let's not judge God or Christianity by what has happened between these 2 people we don't know what in the world really happened but this I do know that Jesus is the answer to this hurting world and we cannot judge the all of Christ by the actions people take even though the individuals are in Christ so for now lets wait and see what has happened and surely this is a mark and a stain on Christianity but Jesus is able to overcome it I mean he has already overcome the world so this is just a small hurdle for him and no matter what has happened between the Weeks' I still know and trust God it's not about them it's about my relationship with and in Christ.I pray that whatever has happened between them that God himself will fix it for them whatever that maybe because I may be looking from the outside in but The Father,Son and Holy Ghost are rigth their in the midst of this situation and surely he knows what went on so I am going to trust him no matter what.

This is unbelievable it seems not to long ago they had that fabulous wedding ????

I do not condone wife beating .... but I can imagine that Juanita and her husband both would be very difficult to live with. There is usually only room for one star in each family and these are two very vibrant leaders who probably need to have married people who were of a servants heart. I think these two are to much alike to survive.

My prayers are with them both.

Talk about hypocritical. The current Hitler style sermon at the public square that the Evangelicals are currently pursuing aimed at todays youth brings new meaning to, "do what I say, not what I do." Their own are beating their wives, in public no less, and Pastor Ted Haggard of New Life Church fame got caught in a secret tryst with his gay lover, this sets quite an example. I would be remiss if I didn't take a swipe at the new creation museum in Kentucky with a saddle on a Dinosaur. Yep! that what I heard! Brain washing is a very effective tool just look at the Islamic zealots that blow themselves up. Didn't the Catholics rule Europe in the 14th century burning unbelievers at the stake. I think I'll join the "Flat Earth Society" Earth is really not round, it's all trick photography! I finally got it straight.

Well actually, just because you are a Christian or a "servant of God" doesn't mean you are not human....it certainly doesn't mean you are perfect as some of you believe you have to be when you are a preacher or something along those lines. Obviously, the Bishop has some anger management issues that he needs help with. I am really curious to know what all happened!!!!

I'm just curious, how many people here know who attacked who first in this story? What if she was whopping his but right up to when the bellhop saw it?

I'm not putting up for him, I'm just saying they only talked about the damage on her. They did not say who started it, or who did what to whom.

Wait for the investigation to give us some facts, of it's just like believeing there are WMDs in Iraq.

Is anyone really shocked? The easiest way to money is to become a born again christian and then a pastor. The jails are full of "born again Christians", and the world is full of hypocritical money grubbers who would fleece their own mothers in the pursuit of the almighty dollar, preachers that is. These abysmal characters are caught with their pants down monthly and they use the mythical person, Jesus to extort money while espousing piety. Most preachers are a shame on the word religion but without the reward of a paradise nobody would heed any advice against them. It's human, it's cave paintings in the raw.

Well, I remember when her ministry first began. She does have a history of sexual promiscuity (prostitution). I thought things went a little too sudden for her anyway. She seemed to be running "too hard" as many christians do in the beginning and then they fizzle out. Did anyone see the wedding? I thought that was a little over the top as well. I'm not jealous, I was just wondering was it necessary for that much hype.

Everyone is so judgmental about what happen between Juanita and her estranged husband. God looks beyond our faults and he sees the need for us to be forgiven. I think that she should forgive him and move forward in her life and ministry. This kind of man needs to go back to God and ask him to forgive him for his actions and for misguiding so many people who trusted him. Juanita has been through enough with men in her life and he knew this. He needs to be delivered from whatever hold the enemy has on him and confess his sins and move forward. He needs to sit down and someone else needs to teach him a few things about love and self discipline. We love Juanita and she didn't and doesn't deserve to be treated like a punching bag. He says that he loves her, but when you love something or someone you don't cause bodily harm to it. So let's look deep within ourselves to forgive him and move on. If we can't forgive then God said that he can't forgive us. God is a God of love.

One of the first tenents of christianity is to humble yourself..But it seems they were not really in it for christ but for cash..

It's unfortunate to learn of this. It's only obvious that this man experienced temporary insanity. This is common when we are faced with loved ones that oppose our views. If only he had taken a brief moment to think about his actions. He'd be in a better position. I too will say that it doesn't surprise me that she suffered what would be considered a traumatic experience...she's always appeared to be what I would consider one who speaks before thinking...mouthy as some would call it. In most cases, this is one most desire to stay away from. One must be extremely strong-minded and always on guard in times of opposition when dealing with people that will say and speak at will. Maybe now she'll be less likely to spew venom in future confrontations...
