A lot of people who are new the the whole website sector seem to think visitors will just come out of thin air. This can be likened to the famous quote, "If you build it, they will come" (from the movie The Natural). Well, sad as it may be, this is simply not the case.

    Looks like someone is making a lot of duplicate accounts and then sinking this story with all of them.

          Some might be sinking it for saying "If you build it, they will come" was from the movie "The Natural". It was from "Field of Dreams".

          I voted for the story though myself, to help counterbalance the sinkers. I think the option to "sink" a submission is a foolish idea altogether, and should be abolished. If someone doesn't like a story, don't vote for it. Period. Let any potential "controversy" play out in the message threads, not in whether the story climbs the charts fast, slow, or not at all.

            Maybe if this was some kind of political rant, nobody would try to sink it. It's a useful little article for some of us.
