The police in Germany have arrested three Islamic militants suspected of planning large-scale terrorist attacks against several sites frequented by Americans, including discos, bars, airports and military installations.

I appreciate this good work by Germans, Denmark foiled one yesterday. One thing that confuses me, why only in countries where conservatives are in power all these terrorists end up? I just don't understand that.
I think there is more to this way more than what we see, hear and know.

I'm not surprised at ALL that Muslims would resort to terrorism against the West and Israel. Why? Because when you believe someone who doesn't believe in YOUR type of religion will have their skins burned off and replaced, daily, throughout eternity, where they will, every two days, drink boiling water like a diseased camel with a raging thirst, hey, how can the West and Israel (perceived as non-Islamic in the eyes of MOST Muslims), NOT be viewed also as the most evil of all nations--WORSE than that of Nazi Germany IN the eyes of fundamentalist Muslims? ANY religious book, (and the Bible can be included if you don't know certain things) that PREACHES an eternal torment of those who don't believe LIKE you, HAS to make those who DON'T believe LIKE you the most EVIL of all evils! For WHY should they deserve eternal punishment IN hell if they AREN'T evil, folks?!? THIS is why there is terrorism. THIS is why there is preaching of hate.

Fear, Fear and more Fear and that describes the Bush Administration goal in its war on terror by attacking a nation that never had Al Qaeda as a force to reckon with. It's insane. You confront a small enemy such as Al Qaeda and crackpots with intelligence, covert means and determination. You do not attack the worlds nations and place yourself up to be hated.
Bush you are an idiot, plain and simple. Go ahead and use every incident of these Islamic fanatics to espouse and continue your lunacy. What about all the murders by Americans against Americans in this country, who and what country should we attack??

We use their hospitals for our troops. The mudscums are a malcontented group no matter where they live. I think the germans will ship them out with a torpedo up their ***. No worries about torture prisons.

The Germans were really on their toes. If that plot was to materialize,our loss would be human lives ,while their win would be a gain for their cause.

The Muslim problem is a serious one. Germany, the UK, France, the US and other countries, where next?. Why are they there? Who's letting them in? They are spreading all over the world and everywhere they go they create problems. Historically, they started on the hot dusty Arabian desert and spread mostly in a very violent way to the rest of the mideast, and east all the way to Indonesia. Then all over the world. Mostly it was if you convert, fine. If not --slice--off with your head. Their penchant for violence is still apparent. And keeping women subjugated too. The Good Muslims I have met tend to be apologists for their religion's well known violence and subjugation. A few very much oppose these tendencies but don't or can't do anything to stop it.

I met an Egyptian in Burbank, Calif. in 1995. He was arrested for domestic violence. He won a physical fight with his wife. He really seemed like a nice person and was sorry he had done that. He had to go to domestic violence classes and do community service. He really didn't know that hitting a woman was against the law here. He learned otherwise. He was brought up to believe you can do whatever you want to your wife. He had to be re-trained here in the US. I think they are still married and everything's OK now.

My impressions about Islam:
Hijacked by ruthless power hungry terrorists who care not at all about their religion or their own people.
Never forgetting a real or perceived wrong and waiting intil they have the power to get even and or worse.
Very violent people.
Not interested in human rights or equality.
Very racist (against those who are not of their own ethnic group or race).
Not well educated.
Subjugative of women.
Not understanding of others different than themselves.
I think Islam was developed as it is to control the violent tendencies of its people in the mideast.
I don't subscribe to any religion, but I would be least likely to visit a Muslim country or buy into their religion.
They don't belong in Europe or the West as they don't at all fit in or assimilate to western/European culture.
Just impressions from reading the news and world events. I wonder how many others who are non-muslim have the same impressions? The exceptions I welcome with open arms.

This is the trouble with hyperbole. You state it then you begin to believe it.
Evidence before Iraq2 given and stated by politicians on both sides of the aisle and on all continents except antartica, I believe, and the UN indicated that it was reasonable to believe that Iraq had WMD's and was attempting to reconstitute it's nuclear program. Considering Iraq's cozy relationship with Syria it is still possible that these weapons or components maybe in Syria today. We may find this out in the future when Damascus becomes a mushroom cloud! oops
