  For some family members it will take many years to get past the pain and for other they will never get past the pain.

  Not to be rude but this could've been avoidible if the amish weren't so bend on the "simple way of life". It was just bond to happen.

  There is nothing that sucks more then having someone you love murdered, I know how they feel.May God bless them with some peace.

  As i feel very sorry for this to have happened, I also take the amish to task--They have no service wounded from any war...they just take advantage of us to protect them, and suffer the casualties of war, of which we have many thousands, not just a few..When it comes time, I will tell all my family to be "conscia=entious objectors"..and let someone else do my fighting for me, and suffering..as the Amish do...what is good for the goose..

  It is funny how people can put down the Amish, the amish live now like we did a 100 years ago. The Amish close themselves up to a world of misery and laziness. Every generation in America gets lazy as the years drag on. When was the last time you spanked your child for smoking cigarettes? Or the last time you made an effort to tell your child to go outside and ride their bikes instead of being couch potatoes, and not even wanting to help with any family chores. I can honestly say I much rather have a life like theirs any day over what society has done to simplify life as it is. I send peace to the Amish for their loss, and I send my pride in the belief of what they do everyday. More American's should live the way the Amish do, Life would be alot more pleasant and people would stand together.

  They have puppy mills and treat dogs deplorable. That may have been their karma. God punishes those who torture animals because animals are closet to God.

  I agree everyone should not trust anyone. My boyfriend keeps 5 guns all over his house. If an a-hole like that man cr anyone else breaks in he will not bother with 9-11 to get a slow or non-response.

  People have to look out for their own. This is a preditory society.

  Sorry but I stand by my comment. If a bugler had to choose between a house that had the latest security and a house that had simple locks, which do you think he would chose? The Amish live a life of solitude, thinking that this will make all bad things go away. But we live in a age of cruelties and you have to be ready for it.

  Our own terrorists right here on American soil, ruined the lives of these wonderful people.

  My exact point that there is no way to rid the world of terrorists, we have no idea where they are, what race they are, or who they are, they are everywhere, maybe next door to me or you!

  It angers me that they took a picture of the Amish.

  It is against the Amish peoples religion to get their picture taken.

  They believe it takes their soul away and it makes me angry that they went against that request.
