He pushes aside medieval ledgers of indulgences and absolutions, pulls out one of 13 bound diaries inscribed from 1671 to 1704 and starts to read about the weather.

Sept. 16, 2007, 11:20 a.m.Southwestern Virginia has experienced the hottest summer on record this year. Record number of days with temps in excess of 90 degrees F & 100 degrees F. Artic ice is melting & opening up sea lanes that are ususlly locked except for icebreakers. Unusually small amount of snow in this area the last several winters.....practically none

Sept. 17, 2007, 10:27 a.m.I think earth has reactions with the sun. How many years does it take for the solar system we are in to go around the sun? I may be asking a dumb question. Answer it anyway.
