Sept. 19, 2007, 2:01 p.m.No question it was probably a smart decision for Netscape business. While it's still too early to say if this is an upgrade or downgrade for all the submitting parties here, the fact that propeller.com is a week old site concerns from the ranking perspective...

Sept. 19, 2007, 2:18 p.m.Will be interesting to see what they mean by "we are not happy to simply stand pat with our existing features. In the near future, we will be able to share information about our new social news platform"
What's staying, what's going, what's new etc, etc.
Should be fun. good to see so much of the community participating here already.

Sept. 19, 2007, 2:29 p.m.Just hijack to home page, the most obvious log in doesn't work, no instructions to the switch over (though I havn't checked E-mail, but with AOL I doubt it
Yup, AOL is still my most hated internet service, and they just screwed up one of the better, if not best service.
Bad enough that they already played with the netscape browser, making me seriously thinking about changing to Modzilla / firefox

Sept. 19, 2007, 2:39 p.m.I would recommend some instructions on how to log in for the first time. Other than that, I love it. I haven't had to clear a cache or refresh a page yet today.

Sept. 19, 2007, 2:41 p.m.Propeller is GREAT- its moving fast-Netscape got to the point to where I hated to log in because it was loading the pages so slow. Lets hope this new site doesnt start-so far its great-no problems yet ;] oh lets hope we get our "Delete All" feature for our message box-both incoming and sent-then everything would be AWESOME... Thanks everyone for getting it up and going wiothout problems....

Sept. 19, 2007, 3:23 p.m.I've had some trouble logging in. I requested a temporary password and logged in. Now I can't change the password to something of my own creation. Whenever I click the "change password" link I get logged off and back to the homepage. Good to see everyone still!

Sept. 19, 2007, 3:57 p.m.I had a trouble signing in a while ago. Thanks for this submission JamesMarcus. Everything seems to be working, so far. I don't mind the change at all, it's just the same thing, but in a different place. We'll get used to it.

Sept. 19, 2007, 4:01 p.m.If i figured it out, anyone can, LOL! Wasn't too hard though.
I just made propell my homepage, why go through the rest of the mess to get to the blogs anyway? Then.... when i want to go to NS.com, it's easy enough!

Sept. 19, 2007, 4:05 p.m.As the car careened around the corner our weight shifted and my friend's elbow hit me sharply in the ribs, awakening me ubruptly. " Hey...what street are we on? " I asked rubbing my side...

Sept. 19, 2007, 4:12 p.m.It was rather funny this morning, logging in, then clicking on a story, only for it to say I needed to log in. So I did again and tried once more. Told me the same thing. I could log in, just not touch anything;). But now, it's all good.

Sept. 19, 2007, 4:29 p.m.Good work guys; the changeover was really smooth. By the way, the new site still integrates perfectly with Navigator 9, and the icon even changed in my news menu from the Netscape logo to the orange propeller.
Also, I like how on netscape.com, the recommended stories from Propeller are listed in the box on the side. I'll probably still keep netscape.com as my homepage to get my news, so I'm glad that there is such tight integration between sites. I was kind of worried that Propeller's connection to Netscape was going to just dissolve, but I was wrong. I look forward to testing the new version of the site you say you're working on too.
One more thing, the speed is so much better since you've changed domains. Don't know if it's because there are less people here right now or because you've worked out some of the bugs, but I'm very pleased right now.

Sept. 19, 2007, 5:01 p.m.NS Techy folks, would you PLEASE sort out the "deletion of messages" function..... New site's OK, BUT, you've carried this bugbear over with you.... I have neither the patience nor the time to wait a couple of minutes to delete one message (assuming it actually does delete, that is).....
Here's hoping,
DM

Sept. 19, 2007, 5:19 p.m.Some criteria...
Consier comments.
Quantity. The number of comments posted.
Less of them is you've gone useless.
More of them is you've gone needed.
Same - well, be optimistic. it's better same than worse.
But it is just quantity.
Quality is crucial too. Bravery... Less bravery is people don't trust you.
Then straightforwardness comes. Less of it - don't believe them.
I wish you a happy new start.
Make people know they can be brave and straightforward and
your deed is the right one.
Do well. Stay high.
