I've been waiting for this gutless windbag to just say it in plain english...neocons don't love the military and dont love America.I hope this video reaches the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan...maybe Rush wants to start a civil war within the military to rid itself of the "phony soldiers".

I started watching Rush on tv when Clinton first took office,the theme of his show every day was "America Held Hostage...Day 4"...calling the President a kidnapper,and now all we hear is "Hillary called a general a liar".
One day,Rush talked about his resume...he was raised in a family of lawyers,his two jobs before getting his propaganda show were...used car salesman and public relations.In other words...a professional liar raised by professional liars.

His LARGE LISTENERSHIP is a product of the deregulation of radio..
MOST not all of the stations he is on are owned by Clear Channel Communications.. they allow him to sell his own commercials and he GIVES (he used to pay some stations to run his show), them the show for free.. THEY ALSO SELL SPOTS... PURE PROFIT...
what I do find amazing is that people actually subscribe to THE LIMBAUGH LETTER and RUSH 24/7... those are the people with questionable intelligence....
course he laughs all the way to the bank... his property tax alone on his mansion on the ocean is on the north side of 400K per year.. that's right 400,000 per year in property tax.... not counting what he pays on exwife Marta's place to keep her quiet... she also lives DIRECTLY ON THE ATLANTIC OCEAN...

Face facts. The natural resources of that region cannot fall into the hands of radical islamic forces. We simply cannot allow that to happen.
We are still in Korea, how many decades after the war? None of you spineless leftists realize that?
We are still in Germany. Still have forces in Bosnia. Still have forces in East Africa. We cannot afford to leave any of these strategic areas...what makes you think that leaving Iraq is even an option?
You all need a reality check.
Even if Hillary is elected, which is entirely likely, she would do no different.

Iran is about as radical at the Arab world has and I think Dick Cheney and Haliburton had been making a tidy profit selling oil production equipment there. Of course we know they did in Iraq even before the war.
Nice of you though to spell it out for everyone that this is in fact a war about natural resourse and it had nothing to do with WMD, 9-11, or any type of supposed threat Saddam's regime posed to the world remaining superpower. It's all about the oil, and the profits that goes to the oil companies.
Yes I beleive Hillary will do what's best for the oil companies and not what's best for the majority of the American people.

WE, the US under this administration, are enlarging the recruiting base for those "radical Islamic forces" of which you are so scared.
The military did its job. It went in there, defeated Saddam's forces, captured Saddam, killed his sons, & overthrew the government. What it's trying to do now is play referee for a sectarian civil war that's been inflamed by the political giants (Bremmer, etc) that insisted on sectarianizing & disenfranchising a major portion of the population.

Not true, a lot of Dems condemn the vote made by Hillary on this Liebermann-Kyl bill. When Republicans get caught breaking laws and even perverted acts, the conservatives rush to protect them. I think you have the situation reversed. A long list of criminals that are conservatives are have been vindicated by republicans, all the way back to the Reagan era (Iran-Contra). Clinton never bragged of a military career. Bush did. It's not the fact that Bush never did any real military service that's the problem. The problem is he acted like he was something which he clearly was not, and swiftboated and attacked people who really served. Most Democrats were shocked and angry at Clinton when they found out he lied about his affair. The Republican reaction to Presidential lying is to attack the people who make the claim, and totally overlook the lie.

I take exception to your post for the following reasons:
1. No, most liberals would not support Clinton et al in troop bashing. Why do you think they have passed the bills? For fear of being labelled anti-war and losing their moderate support base.
2. No one is asking the USA to surrender Iraq - that implies that the USA has some right to the country. It doesn't.
3. Even Petraeus has conceded that the ultimate solution in Iraq is NOT MILITARY in nature - the only role the military has is to provide stability and peace, and if 140,000 troops cannot do that, then maybe it is time for America to withdraw and let the UN in to do the job. It worked in Korea and Egypt, and in Cyprus and Lebanon, and in Yugoslavia and East Timor - it can work in Iraq, if America will give it a chance to.
4. With all the money going to pay for the war, I wonder why the troops aren't getting the equipment they deserve.

I've asked numerous of you "patriotic" Americans here exactly exactly what you would consider "victory" in Iraq. Naturally, not 1 has responded. But you basically have 3 options:
1) Support the Shi'ia-dominated gov't that we put into place, which just so happens to be pro-Iranian, also Shi'ia, and btw, our enemy.
2) Support the Sunni militias which are currently our enemy & responsible for sectarian cleansings. And, btw, which we disenfranchised & forced into unemployment w/no option but to pick up weapons & fight for their land. And, btw, are pro-Saudi - our ally.
3) Support the Shi-ia militias which WE (namely under Petraeus) armed & trained as "police" but which turned into other sectarian cleansing forces.
Don't even bother about the Kurds. They're pretty much doing their own thing anyway.
Exactly WHICH of these 3 groups would you back?

He went too far. These men and women do not make policy, they simply follow orders. None of them really want to be there, but what choice do they have, except to try to stay alive in this quagmire. FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. - A soldier convicted of rape and murder in an attack on an Iraqi teenager and her family was sentenced Saturday to 110 years in prison.
The sentence was part of a plea agreement attorneys for Pfc. Jesse Spielman had made with prosecutors that set the number of years he could serve in prison, regardless of the jury's recommendation.
