  It's a shame this man is running on the republican ticket. He doesn't stand a chance in the primary, the majority of the conservatives i have talked to are so hyped on Fred Thompson and they think Ron Paul is a loose canon.

  If he were to somehow win the primary, he would get my vote.

  I've learned not to put to much faith into a politicians promises.

  They always say what you want to hear,just to get elected.

  But most of the time don't really ever go thru with their promises.

  I trust my family,friends and neighbors more than I do politicians.

  And that's my beef with Ron Paul - why go that far, and not go the rest of the way?

  If you are going to repeal the Military Commissions Act, why not repeal the War Powers Act, while you are at it?

  And simply going back to FISA is half-hearted, at best. Make it clear that no searches, ever cna be made of Americans, or persons of any nationality with the United States, without a warrant, and PROOF of probable cause. Not an affadavit by an FBI agant claiming probable cause, or a 'national security letter' - friggin' EVIDENCE.

  This is one sweet piece of legislation!!! It should be recognized that this is Ron Paul showing the guts to challenge the President's usurpation of executive power!

  In the name of the war on terror, the Bush Administration and Congress have repeatedly abandoned Constitutional principles at the expense of civil liberties and human rights. Now if we allow this to continue, we may end up living in a nation that reflects the worst nightmare of our Founders. They designed the Constitution specifically to protect our rights against a tyrannical government. Even in times of crisis, we must stay true to their vision.

  Even if this bill doesn't get anywhere, it's a positive step in the right direction for the U.S. Let's get back to Constitutional govt.

  In America, people who believe in Freedom, democracy, the Constitution and the rule of law and AMERICANS. Those who yearn for big brother and the secret police are the American haters.

  For all those who are so cowardly they can't stand to live in a free society, there is already North Korea fully equipped with Big Brother and a massive spy organization of secret police. Just move there instead of trying to pull down the foundations of our Republic.

  I don't know much about Ron Paul so clue me in on something here. Has he drafted change for world trade, putting some jobs and security in the families of America? What are his true views on oil dependence and global warming? How about deliberate inflation and the wealthy paying a fair share of taxes? How about Medical industries and over inflated insurance industries? When we find a candidate that can make laws for the people that keep them able to float a livelihood and reduce the hardships that have been created in the past twenty some odd years then we have the right person for the presidency. His views are good views on the subject of restoring the constitution. Where is the rest of it? Our elected deal in bits and pieces and that is where the legal loopholes are created.

  And just where is the media when there is a story as important as this? They're busy talking about Hillary and Obama no doubt. Or the latest escapades of Paris Hilton and OJ.

  The media has pretty much lost credibility. This story needs to be trumpeted and shouted from the rooftops. Finally, someone talking about going back to the Constitution and the attention is focused where? They discuss whether or not Bush is a lame duck? Give me a break.

  I don't know how we get the media to pay attention to the important stories. They will beat the Larry Craig story to death. But deal with the foundation of our nation? Wimps.

  Sycophants.

  Why consider what is happening to our nation when there is the dog and Ellen Degeneris to discuss?

  Does any of this remind any of you out there of the story about Nero who fiddled while Rome burned? Notice how close "Nero" is to "Neo."

  I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but I have two serious issues with Ron Paul's campaign:

  1) His economic policy is disastrous, at best, and;

  2) He is garnering a lot of support from both White Supremacist and Neo-Nazi groups.

  I doubt anyone could change my mind on the former, but if you want to change my mind on the latter, I'd like to hear it.

  I should like to point out that this "story" comes to us via Antiwar.com. That should tell you plainly that the "source" is shady at best.

  Ron Paul is a classic example of the types of real pansies registering under the Republican label.

  My bigger problem with Ron Paul is the fact that he is proposing that he would NOT fulfill the oath of his office. He would completely abandon important parts of his job description. Namely, he would fail to defend the USA, which is the primary responsibility of the federal government.

  The only reason the "drive-by media" loves him is because he is "going against the grain" of the Republican party. He has become one of those beloved "mavericks."

  Perhaps someone should clue Ron Paul in on what happened to another "maverick" named John Mccain.

  While you are at it, why don't you add... "Bush lied. Kids died." Now you sound like the rest of your friends.

  And, to borrow a line from the Democrats, what makes you "qualified" to comment on what is "treaonous" and "unchristian"? Do you have any "experience" as a Christian?

  Treason is classified as "giving AID and COMFORT to the enemies of the United States for the purpose of defeating the USA." Perhaps you should be looking at the Democrats for examples of treason.

  To the vast majority of our politicians the Constitution is an archaic piece of paper that has little or no relevance in today's world of 'Capitalist Monarchies' and 'religious terrorist cabals'. I wish R.Paul luck but I think the serious money, national and international corporations, is against him; imagine, giving POWER back to the American voter via the Constitution of the US; what a frightening idea.

  Not that I would need to write, but just in case Rep. Michael Capuano doesn't support the 'American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007' I have written him. I hereby Pledge to take names and numbers. If this reaches the house floor, I will contribute money and efforts writing to defeat ALL who vote against it. If it gets snagged in committee, I will do the same to those who work to keep it off the House floor.

  I encourage all who love freedom and believe in the Constitution to join me in that pledge.
