"From the data that we have, it is only spraying ash without other volcanic material," he said by telephone. "It is not so dangerous but we suggest people wear a mask so they will not suffer from respiratory problems."

Although this may not be good for the inhabitants that live around the volcano, the eruption would definitely reduce some of the global warming, it puts sulfur something or another in to the atmosphere. Just like the burning oil wells did during desert Storm. Sad but true. I feel for those people they live in an environment that is unstable, but so is the rest of this world. May God keep to their safety.

It makes you wonder how many eruptions and their relative size have been factored in to the 100 year global warming disaster plan from Al.

Mother Nature Gives and Mother Nature takes ..... Volcano eruptions and forest fires do contribute to the atmospheric eco system thus can affest the worlds warming or cooling .... man is not alone MAMA Nature helps. So let's not be too hasty to get into global warming discussions whe this shoiuld be about the poor people in Indonesia.

So let me guess, this is global warming and is caused by George W. Bush.

Well I, for one, am going to take inspiration from Al Gore, and offer to everyone on Nutscape "Volcanic Ash Credits".

This is where you, as an informed and outraged environmental citizen, have the opportunity to buy volcanic ash which will be placed over the polar ice caps, thus reducing global warming, and allowing Al Gore to continue criss-crossing the country in his private jet, spewing thousands of gallons of fuel, to preach about how we should all be cutting back on our consumption of fuel.

I'm selling the volcanic ash credits at $12 a pound. After taking my cut of the proceeds (after all, I AM taking my cues from Al, here), I will see to it that YOUR ash is spread over the Arctic, so that YOU can rest each night, knowing that another polar bear may live because YOU'VE done something about it.

Howza bout it, folks? Who's going to be the first to sign up for this scheme, er...I mean, great plan? Only $12 a pound to buy your way out of guilt!
