Op Ed: Hillary Clinton Cackle And Your Little Dog, Too? »
Posted by: ZiegfeldGirl 2 years agoThe Hillary Clinton cackle is now a punch line. And with Halloween right around the corner how many young girls will go as Hillary Clinton? Her cackle was legendary before as a finger on the chalkboard irritant but now she is being mocked and accused of using as a tactic for not answering tough questions.

Oct. 29, 2007, 11:42 a.m."The Hillary Clinton cackle has become a defense mechanism for the Democratic frontrunner president. Now she is being mocked on Comedy Central by Jon Stewart and that has put her on YouTube in a popular online video. It seems as if when she struggles or is asked a tough question she ignores it and laughs away."

Good luck selling that."
Yeah, good luck!

Oct. 29, 2007, 12:17 p.m.I'll only vote for Hillary if she is the Democratic nominee and the Republicans don't field anybody that I can vote for (so far it looks like I'm voting for Hillary), but I don't particularly care for her or some of her 'policies'.
But, the hate of the Clintons on the right just boggles my mind.

Oct. 29, 2007, 12:30 p.m.I also agree. The Cons hate for the Clintons is obsessive. It may stem from the defeat of the first President Bush in 92. The right wing wasn't able to destroy Bill Clinton the way they did Dukakis, and it sticks in their craw.
Clinton also deviated from the conservative policies and plans for their new world order. So, naturally they've elevated every little negative they could into something major in the hopes of "getting them".

Oct. 29, 2007, 12:35 p.m.I read an interesting blog entitled "Why we hate Clinton". I think a lot of what it says is true. Here are a couple snippets:
"Why do we hate clinton? No, "hate" is not the word. Loathe? Despise? Abhore? The word, le mot juste, escapes me. It's a cross between pity and contempt. And regret. And anger.
But whatever the specific name of the disapprobation we feel, what is its cause, the etiology of this malady of so large a part of the body politic? It wasn't his politics. Politics is about compromise and manipulation, and there can be no complaint that the other side wins when it can. They think they're right, and they're not wrong for pursuing their goals, whether or not their ideals are objectively beneficial. Through disagreement we learn who is right."

Oct. 29, 2007, 12:37 p.m.I dont get to vote in your country as I am not from there, but I watch a "lot" of the political posturing on the net/tv. Hiliary was one that I was once high on, as far as making positive changes in the US/world scene...maybe it was that I was a big fan of her husband. Now I dont know anymore...I am seeing her differently now. It appears as she is becoming a chameleon....adapting herself to the audience that she speaks to. She still looks like she may have a chance at this. If she is succesful I hope she is up to the task. I also like Paul and Obama....one has charisma the other seems to be unaffected by his political surroundings.

Oct. 29, 2007, 12:49 p.m.I think the "right's" dislike of Clinton pales (by far) in comparison to the "left's" hatred (no other word for it) of Bush.
I don't think Clinton should have been impeached. But, the "left" consistently tries to frame that whole situation as a privacy issue ("he got a bj, so what?") when it was totally a legal issue (perjury). That's what sticks in my craw on that subject.
When you mention "Bush" to most "liberals"...it's like watching a multiple personality disorder in action. Their faces change, their voices change, their hands start flailing or ball up into fists. It is a visceral reaction.

Oct. 29, 2007, 12:59 p.m.Needy, I think Cherev has proven our point. I don't recall ever reading a comment of his that wasn't laced with venom for what he thinks of as "the left" .
Obviously, he and others like him would see the Clintons as "the enemy", and a tough enemy at that, therefore, worthy of extra special venom.
Their whole political outlook is a search and destroy mission meant to wipe out anyone who doesn't agree with them. Rove put a name to it, he called it, "the permanent majority".

I have read on propeller statements by Libs that they want to kill bush, another offers the bullets. More talk of that sort.
People may not like or respect Clinton, but I haven't heard talk of killing him like there has been about Bush.

Oct. 29, 2007, 4:35 p.m.After Hillary is elected we can all look forward to the neo's having fun on this blog with her rule.
Divisive is too kind a word to explain what will be.
Her party and the media have made the decision, she will be elected by the followers who inhabit our nation, well all nations.

Oct. 29, 2007, 7:06 p.m.Clinton is much more conservative on a variety of issues than Obama. Hillary's problem lies in that she is trying to woo both conservatives and liberals. She's taking the chance that enough of the voters from both sides and a good heap of the middle take her in. It angers all those people that are ultra-conservative or ultra liberal so she gets a lot of flack. She is just a few notches to the right of her Husband Bill Clinton. She is taking a line straight out of the playbook of her husband.
