We all knew Fred would pick some shady people, but i really did not expect a multiple offender drug dealer to be involved with his campaign. This is afterall the guy running on his US attorney/Law&Order Image isnt it?

Well, Well, Well, dirty deeds done dirt cheap!

What is it with these idiots, don't they think the rest of the world has sense enough to find these things out, OR do they think that simply because they are the Religious Right it will be over looked?

Just imagine what would happen to his record if good buddy Fred were elected!

Don't these people running campaigns know that if they don't vet their people, the press and bloggers will?

And how did Martin avoid jail time anyway back then? What was he...Bush's coke dealer? Busted for marijuana in '79 = probation. Then busted 4 years later for conspiracy and cocaine-trafficking ($30,000 worth)...more probation?? Wha??

This has become a politicians disease---if they are not having lewd sex, selling arms, raising money in illegal ways, and surrounding themselves with people who are involved in all of these little sidelines, they're just not a good politician! Yep--we got a great bunch runnin' the country.

Great find, Aidenag! Philip Martin, now 49, pled guilty to selling pot when he was 21 years old. That should have made him a liberal hero, but he chose to grow up and join the "wrong" political party. Therefore you will hypocritically "expose" him here while arguing for the legalization of drugs in other threads.

The article reveals very little of the character of Philip Martin, and absolutely nothing about Fred Thompson, but its submission speaks volumes about the character of our Propeller Scout. Trying to do a little "swiftboating" of your own, Aidenag?

"Martin now lives in Alabama. He works in an office next to a private airstrip, where his small jet is based."

If a republicon can't skip to Venezuela, Alabama is 'bout as safe.
