When I read the headline I thought there will be people blaming the U.S. for this. I wasn't surprised when the very first post did just that. Not until the 5th post was it mentioned that this was a Islamic extremist that actually committed this act.

David,
Won't you ever give up this myth? Please listen to your President. He said the following in an interview on January 14, 2007:
"BUSH: Let me correct something on this connection between Saddam Hussein and 9/11. That was never the case in this administration. You know, I always said we never had evidence that Saddam Hussein ordered the attacks on 9/11. And so I don't know who continues to say that."
"BUSH: ...The minute we found out they didn't have weapons of mass destruction, I was the first to say so. Scott, all I can do is just tell the truth, tell people exactly what's on my mind, which is what I do."
You can read the whole transcript yourself.

It's getting worse and worse. Afghanistan, is our forgotten war. We would indeed have sacrificed out troops senselessly if our democratic efforts in Afghanistan and the elimination of the taliban and Al Quaida is defeated. This is the war we can not afford to lose. What's up with you neocons? Not any oil there?

"What's up with you neocons? Not any oil there?"
Nope.
Afghanistan, with its violence, hatred, poverty, insular people, low education level, lack of resources and lack of any willingness to cooperate on any level, or to make some sort of change to bring themselves forward into the 19th century, is low - - very low - - on the priority list of the United States. If it weren't for its dubious distinction of being the hiding place of Osama bin Laden, believe me, we wouldn't be wasting our time or resources there.
Can you give me one good reason, other than Osama bin Laden, why we should?

You will certainly win this war by losing your standard of living and then demoting yourself to joint the standard to a third world country. Your countries down fall already started, it's not too far away.

"littered with bodies and awash with blood " - not TOO inflammatory or sensational, right? But, this is the BBC after all - apparently just one step above a checkout tabloid.
The thing one has to wonder here is: How in the WORLD do those nutjob radicals ever convince anyone that it's not just OK, but a really good idea to run into a crowd of children and blow yourself up? How can the people who KNOW where those as*wipes are (and you know they do...) not take them out and kill them painfully in the street? It's not like they'd get in trouble for it or anything. Hell, they'd probably collect a reward.

You have hit on a very important question. When the US figures out the answer to that question, it will be able to figure out how to proceed with this war, and perhaps even win it.
BTW, those nutjobs were probably trying to kill the politicians not the children. How much does the US or Israel care about collateral damage when they target some important figure? OK, they don't do it with suicide bombers but with bombs and rockets, but the end result is the same for the "collateral damage."
I'm not defending suicide bombers, but I can't see much difference between suicide bombers and bombers; I condemn all violence.

I believe pandora's box has been opened and will never be closed again. I believe the opportunity to close it has come and gone because we didn't go in and get OBL and his gang. Terrorism might not have so bad if we had shut down OBL's gang. I think it would have sent a clear message to the other terrorists that they would not get away with doing the sort of evil that happened today. I pray I am wrong.

" Q But don't you believe that the threat that bin Laden posed won't truly be eliminated until he is found either dead or alive?
THE PRESIDENT: Well, as I say, we haven't heard much from him. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don't know where he is. I -- I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him. I know he is on the run."

Probably the same way that 27% (or so) of Americans still believe that Iraq was responsible for 911, had WMD's, were planning to nuke the USA, and that invading Iraq with too few resources and no plan for long term involvement would solve the problem. In thousands of schools, thousands of hungry, illiterate, desperate young kids are doing nothing but reciting verses from the Koran and reciting verses of hatred for anything American. Day in and day out, the same thing, over and over again.....with absolutely nothing else put into their heads. They respect these teachers and believe that they will bring honor to their families and to the God they believe in. Thus are true fanatics trained. Seriously, I ask you. Is our policy in Iraq addressing this?

The Taliban & AlQaeda was entrenched in Afghanistan. Bush drove them to a safe haven in Pakistan where Taliban really belonged. Al Qaeda followed in to Pakistan.
Bush invades Iraq and creates anarchy. Al Qaeda finds save haven in Iraq.

Only fools will follow America or a servile creature like Israel which itself needs oxygen from US and if America meddle with Iran then all the hell will be let loose.

I have little doubt that Muslim fanatics were to blame for this atrocity, but it would not violate the principles of the Bush administration or Israel, to perpetrate mass murder, and blame it on Muslims.

The Taleban denial of complicity in this horror rings false. Though the actual suicide bombing may have been the work of Al Qua-ida or its affiliates, the carnage stinks of the Taleban's extremist strategy to reclaim the country.
The principal message behind this sort of terrorist outrage which the Taleban wishes to convey is that Afghanistan can never be stable as long as NATO troops are there helping to prop up an ever-weakening central government. According to this warped notion, anyone connected with the foreign-backed Kabul government is fair game, this goes for children too.

The Internet is the last gasp of intellectualy honesty in this Orwellian age. So, do not waste it by parroting official propaganda. If you want that, you can read any newspaper or magazine or turn on the television. All I ask is that you say what you really think, not what is politically correct, patriotically correct, religiously correct or pro-Israeli correctness.

Why single out Islam? Our own Christian and Jewish government is to blame for the atrocities of September 11, and they had the audacity to blame "Islamofascists." The Catholic Church carried out the Utashi government atrocities in Croatia, and then smuggled Nazi war criminals out of Europe. The Vatican bank is still full of Nazi loot, including gold fillings collected at Auschwitz. Believe it or not, most leading Zionists, including David Ben-Gurion, opposed efforts to save European Jews, because it would interfere with the establishment of Israel.

The religion of peace.

The religion of peace.
There are a few like you in this group that always find fault with Islam, they re paranoid like you BOBO, chereve, Thinker22, Halko, Locky12 and there are many more, they love to attack Islam, yet people are converting to Islam everyday, who can stop that? If you are true Christian then you should turn the other cheek because Jesus is a gentleman accoriding to Enoscopy, why do you go to war and kill people. You are killing people in the name of Jesus he instructed Bush to kill people, Bush admitted that, as such this the most violent and hateful religion the Christians follow is Christianity.

I just read the article which quoted Whitehouse spokeswoman Dana Perino: "The attack was a 'despicable act of cowardice and it reminds us of who the enemy is'." It was a suicide attack! And this accusation of cowardice come from cowardly lackey of the Bush administration terrorists. The only thing that could be more contemptible and cowardly is to pretend to believe this lie.
Furthermore, I am sure that the self-appointed propagandists for the Bush administration on netscape, are delighted by Islamic terrorism. After all, it provides an excuse for waging war on the Muslim world. Nor do you care in the slightest about the victims of the World Trade Center demolition and the Pentagon attack, or else you would have said who was really to blame. Your lies are no more convincing that Saddam Hussein's 100% election victory.

One more thing. You are fools to sink so low when you could be something better. A quote from Benjamin Franklin: "Tricks and treachery are the practice of fools, that have not Wit enough to be honest.
