Op Ed: Hillary Needs to "Man Up" »
Posted By ZiegfeldGirl 1 year, 8 months ago in NewsWhen you're leading the Democratic presidential race you might expect the other candidates to focus criticism your way. Yet the spin coming out of the Clinton campaign is that the men were ganging up on Hillary. Sorry, but when girls insist on playing hardball with the boys, they don't get to cry foul (or change the game to dodge ball).

"Not that Hillary Clinton did any whining herself following Tuesday night's Democratic presidential debate in Philadelphia. She's too smart for that. But somehow the idea magically surfaced that the men were piling on.
The New York Times reported that Clinton's campaign officials tried to create sympathy for Hillary the same way they did when Republican Rick Lazio confronted her during their 2000 Senate race. A Clinton adviser told the Washington Post that, "Ultimately, it was six guys against her, and she came off as one strong woman." A headline on the Drudge Report said: "Scorn: As the Men Gang Up."
Piffle."
First she's the strong Amazonian woman who is JUST as tough as any man in the race...and then she's the poor little fragile female, ganged up on by the big mean boys, wah, wah, wah! Hillary is just not as slick as her hubby. The voters do not appreciate duality, just ask John Kerry.
Obama for the Democratic Nominee! No more Clintons!

Just thought I would thank you again for your story yesterday promoting Ron Paul. I'm sure your story helped bring attention to his plight and helped him raise more money. Keep up the good work!

If the girls want to play with the boys, then they should expect to get just as dirty.
You know, this is an interesting subject and an interesting topic in general. If a woman (girl) wants to compete with the men (boys) should that be allowed? If I wanted to play volleyball, but they didn't offer it for men, should I throw a conniption like some women have when they wanted to wrestle or play football?
I am a VERY strong supporter of women having exactly the same rights as men, but politics is the American bloodsport and if you can't stand the heat you need to stay out of the kitchen. So to speak.

It is an interesting subject, and one my husband gets very worked up over. He believes women should absolutely have equal rights, equal pay, etc, but it irks him that they throw a fit over being a member at Augusta, or force a Boy Scout troop to include a girl, but they will not let him join Curves. Not that he really wants to, of course, but if they are going to insist on strong-arming their way into EVERYTHING in a man's world, then why doesn't it work the other way?

i am also for women having the same rights as men but that dosent mean they should be treated differently. what i mean by that is this, Exp: I work in a lumberyard i load wood and concrete into the customers trucks and cars or trailors, i think women should be allowed to do this also , BUT i do not think they should get out of lifting the Concrete mix bags just because they are too heavy, if you can not lift the 60 lb bags then you cant do the job, is that wrong, I dont think so because what do you think would happen if i couldnt do the job effectivly without help ??? I wouldnt have the job, So if hillary cant take the heat from the guys then how will she handle the heat from the WORLD.

She's trying to play the victim card because she got cooked in the debate. It's worked before.

FTA: "and Tim Russert were also accused of joining the pile-on, especially Russert, who kept pounding Hillary for straight answers when she tended to "bridge" to other topics."
In fact, a senior Media Matters For America guy had an article suggesting that Russert should be tossed out as a presidential debate moderator...go figure.

ROFLMAO!!! Seriously? Wow, they(Media Matters and the Clinton Machine) really just want to crown her and carry her dainty Highness all the way to the White House, don't they? I don't know what is wrong with them. She has been preparing for this her entire life, how is it that she can't handle a debate???

Don't kid yourself. The media has been doing a hatchet job on Republicans forever, and it's intensified since the 2000 election. She stands an excellent chance no matter who we put up.

See, Zieg, this is what I mean about respect. Certainly, Senator Clinton is trying to find a position, but the name calling isn't going to 'nail' her down on an issue any faster.
It becomes about the name calling and not about the ideas.
Sorry, Formidable, but your comment was quite timely.

All Americans should learn Spanish under Hillary, well if you realize she adores the new voters, legal or not.
She will stay in Iraq, she told you that. Now how is mainstream America going to vote for her when most are knowledgeable enough to know this war is totally and absolutely wrong.
It's all insane, how this women can play to other women to obtain an office she will administer like Bush. Another dynasty for America to love while staying ignorant. Both parties do suck, independent candidate, PLEASE. Haven't we had enough of current career politicians?

It's official when you read between the lines when Candy Crowley interviewed Hillary.
Hillary Clinton is for Amnesty for illegal immigrants.
Hillary Clinton supports Governor Spitzer in his drive to issue drivers licenses to illegals.
Hillary Clinton has already stated in earlier questioning that she will stay in Iraq when she "thinks" she, this divisive women, will be President.
Ron Paul for President.

I don't think that they are attacking her because she is a woman. I think it's because she's the front-runner. They always attack the person in the lead, so this is nothing new.
Or it could be that Hillary, regardless of her gender, is dangerous. She has a myopic foreign policy and her version of health care is sure to please only insurance companies.

Only my opinion but..I dont think "they" are attacking "her"..I think they are asking tough questions and getting no answers..and when they press for a straight answer (just like you or I would like to here, no matter what side you are on) and get spin it is called attacking...like it has been stated before..if you cant take the heat get out of the kitchen

I remember Maggie Thatcher addressing Parliament ... she held her own and took no prisoners. She took on the big boys and won over and over. She didn't complain that they were picking on her.
Hillary is no Maggie!

In spite of the examples I listed above, to my knowledge, there is no law. http://mp3adrenaline.com/serial_/the_v/
