Nov. 7, 2007, 2:15 p.m.I find the title given to the story quite interesting:
Democrats Seize Control of Virginia Senate
SEIZE, not gains control, not voted in, but SEIZE. Almost something you would see when a dictator in one of the 'banana republics' in South America comes to power.

Nov. 7, 2007, 3:39 p.m.Not a fan of what Democrats are accomplishing but anything or anyone has got to be better for America than a conservative Republican. Ron Paul is more Republican than those in power now so my quotes are not attributed to his ilk.
After what Bush has done the dwindling ranks of Republicans in office WILL be minimal. So in conclusion you conservatives please send Georgie your thank you cards for ridding ourselves of obvious parasitic humans supposedly representing Americas past values.

Nov. 7, 2007, 4:59 p.m.One thing that should be considered is the type of democrats that were elected. Just as the new governor of Kentucky, are very conservative and take a strong stance on illegal immigration. Which will be the key issue for many voters come next year. Mark my words, everyone who supported amnesty last summer will be voted out, regardless of what party they belong to.

Nov. 7, 2007, 6:59 p.m.The invasion of Iraq which has bankrupt the US is what is going to finish off the GOP next year and all the neocans can thank king george for that...slowly they sink and good ridence.

Nov. 7, 2007, 7:04 p.m.Why are people so ecstatic? The Republicans still control the House in Virginia, as far as I recall - so little can be done with two deadlocked chambers.
This may well turn out to be the Senate race that the Democrats didn't want to win...

Nov. 7, 2007, 7:58 p.m.This could bring the same tidal wave of productive change we witnessed when the Dems took the U.S. house in 2006.
Oh, wait, never mind.

Nov. 7, 2007, 9:22 p.m.god no!!! not another con artist. Mr paul may just get caught like senator craig ( in the lu ) or that disgraced pedophile from Florida or rushie the dope addict. "Return us to the bludy Constitution" isn't that what king george said . You can't bludy trust them GOPs. They are war mongering hipocrites...and slowly they sink......

Nov. 7, 2007, 9:39 p.m.This is how the process works. The American people are the deciders.
We need to regain control, reverse everything Bush has done, and then prosecute the criminals in their party.

Nov. 8, 2007, 12:10 a.m.As a native Virginian, I'm glad to see my fellow citizens finally realized they were getting raped and pillaged. Well, not all of them. We do have a handful of billionaires in the state, and they have been doing right well under the Repugs.
