We are pleased to announce the availability of the first public alpha of Netscape Messenger 9, a mail and news client, to complement the Netscape Navigator Web browser.

    Wow, sweet! This is pretty cool. I prefer Netscape 9 over firefox as it seems to be better on memory and otherwise work the same. I also use thunderbird. So it will be cool to have the two rolled into one.

      I will keep an eye on this. I have been using Thunderbird for years and find 2.0 a bit crotchety at times. I moved back to Windows Mail in the interim.
