Sudan: Teacher in Bear Case May Be Freed »

A British teacher arrested for allowing her students to name a teddy bear Muhammad will probably be cleared and released soon, a spokesman for the Sudanese embassy in London said Tuesday. Gillian Gibbons was arrested Sunday and faced possible charges of insulting religion--a crime punishable by up to 40 lashes.

this is the downfall of man. can you believe this crap. its kind of backwards, sorry, incompetent fools that are causing humanity to de evolve....
in my opinion all these midevil thinking people need to be eradicated so the rest of humanity can finally get on with their lives in peace

I think it is a good thing that the teacher is going to be released...
I think the more important question remains...What about all the other men and women that are not British citizens that get whipped for minor offenses in Sudan and other muslim countries?
And what about the bear?

Why is it always "us" the non Moslim (other religion or atheist) who have to show respect and understanding to "them" (Muslim)???
In some Western airports we can not put Christmas trees or "Nativity scenes" any more because it offends other (Muslim??) religions...
Cartoons about "Muhamed" are forbiden, but not about Christ.
We can not say a bad word to or about Muslim, but they can call us ("non believers") DOGS.
Even NOW, during the "peace conference" in the US with GWB, for the Middel East, they don't drink alcohol at meal/dinner, so not to offend the Muslim.
And the list goes on.
Every (or at least the monotheistic) religions have some degree of intolerence, but the Muslim religion beats them all. They are (praticly) the only ones who impose their views so fanaticly and with such violence (and killing)
