  Dana wasn't appointed for her deep critical thinking. She was appointed by Bush because she, like Bush, is willing to publicaly lie her fellow Americans without remorse. And she dresses well.

  Probably covered her eyes and plugged her ears when taught about the Cuban Missile Crisis because she didn't want to believe that a crisis could be solved without going to war and, even worse, by a democrat.

  Another embarrassment. Considering Bush Sr.s hand in this, who would have guessed. Can we get a Junior high school student to take her position ? At least they would likely know some American history. Doomed to repeat it I fear.

  The lack of knowledge of American history seems to be a qualification of candidates in positions on Bush's administration. From Rice to Bush and back down to Perino it seems pretty endemic.

  Wow...this is sad...she's like what..30-35? I'm 19 and I learned about the CMC like what..1.5..almost 2 years ago? In junior year my APUSH class spent like 2 days on it I think.

  People, its not worth trying to explain to those who still hate the Kennedy's, and are intent on revisionist history. Their ignorance doesn't come from poor education in school. You went to school and you know the curriculum.

  THEIR IGNORANCE IS WILLINGLY EMBRACED and spewed forth from the maw of hatred like so much bile. The truth is not to be sought by them, only the use of words to spin and distort. It has been that way since Cain first asked "am I my brother's keeper?" and has been refined these last thousands of years to plague and bedevil those of us who try to live up to the words in our Constitution and our Bible. Let them not vex us, nor confuse us like the serpent tried, but let us continue the fight against these disseminators of lies. Their arrogance knows no bounds.   The Cuban Missle crisis. Another instance where the Democrats were more than willing to drop nuclear bombs. Let's see. Harry Truman. No, not Eisenhower. Yes, John Kennedy was willing. No Republican president has threatened this action.

  I'm uncertain how well JFK handled the crisis, but it is difficult to argue with success. Maybe when more documents are declassified, we will know more. It is my understanding that JFK made a secret deal with the Russians to pull our missiles out of Turkey and agreed not to invade Cuba in exchange for the Russians seeming to back down. Is my understanding correct?

  Why are you surprised at this? The bushie admin has repeatedly appointed "poltical commissars" throughout the federal government to feed you propaganda.
