When is this fool (Kucinich)going to realize that he has nothing meaningful to say and nobody with half a brain gives a damn about his opinion anyway. He's just a camera hound like some others I could name. But that's for another post.

YEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! It's about time. Thank you Mr. Kucinich!!!!!! You are the man. Keep it up!!!!! I think we should force the Democrats to put Dennis Kucinich on the ballot. No I will go further than that. I think he should be the Democratic front runner with every one trying to model their campaign after his.
Pelosi, good bye boo hoo baby. No guts no glory.
Mr. Bush you are about to be marked with the distinction held by another foul Republican leader. Nixon. Although I must say Nixon was far more honorable than you. He served in the Navy and actually finished his enlistment.

About dang time. Now the parties can unite. The Democrats can display a spine and the Republicans can begin to look like statesmen. The PEOPLE are ready for this. Congress should be looking at a poll of this and they will see. The Consitution is being torn down by this administration. Congress has taken an oath to uphold and defend it. It is about time they lived up to that oath.
IMPEACHMENT! YEAH! Do it! Send this cabal packing. Impeach, indict and imprison these criminals!

We made a big mistake when we did not impeach Reagan for Iran-Contra. That is why we have so many of the same criminals back in our government now.
Apart from bushie, it is important to jail the rest of the bushie criminals for long enough that they will NEVER play a role in american politics or government again.

Washington, DC has become a roach motel!
Once these low-life characters go there, they never come out, but apparently live a fairly luxurious life feeding the the public trough!
Our motto should be "One Term And You Are Done!
O.T.A.Y.A.D.
Impeach these criminals who have thrown our country in peril!
Impeachment Now, Vigilance Forever!

Truly amazing. Those folks you voted in last year don't do a thing that they promised and just one comes along and tosses you a bone and the same time the rest of them are still shoving your nose in the crap you regurgitate, and with no hesitation at all you all start drooling in anticipation. It's Pavlov's Dog 2008

Well yes Chef, unfortunately the democratic party is also infested with those whose first loyalty is not to america.
Emanuel's War Plan for Democrats
The Book of Rahm
... the chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), Congressman Rahm Emanuel, had worked hard to guarantee that Democratic candidates in key toss-up House races were pro-war... The war on Iraq benefited Israel by laying waste a country seen to be one of its major adversaries. Emanuel's commitment to Israel (4) and his Congressional service to it are not in doubt....
Emanuel is a mysterious fellow, as evidenced by his biography. But there are a few things missing or not fully explained. First, Emanuel's father was an Israeli émigré; but, he worked during the 1940s with the notorious Irgun, which was labeled as a terrorist organization by the British authorities.(6) Perhaps Rahm's current interest in terrorism was first kindled at his father's Irgun knee....

Chef, the one thing that makes Kucinich stand head and shoulders above the rest of the crowd, is he stuck to his guns. Even after Conyers backed off, Kucinich picked up the reins and continued unwavering. He's not bought and paid for, like the rest.

Kucinich has guts and nuts!
Let his articles see the light of the day, and then Dumbya would know the pain he has been inflicting on others!
Anyone with guts and nuts, stand up.
Anyone without, stand down or become a footnote to the history.

jovial,
What a great segue from your last post to this one! My last comment was, "If we can get Bush out before he does any more damage it'll be a miracle, but I rather see him impeached. That would give some credibility back to the U.S."
Hopefully, everyone realizes that impeachment is a make or break proposition for the Democrats. It'll both put a fire back under the Democrats and bring respectability back to this party. Or, it could backfire and make the Dems look like asses thereby strengthening the Republicans position. There is a third option too, but let's see what happens with Kucinich presenting this to the Senate first.
The timing of this impeachment is critical, also. This could force Bush and Cheney to forgo their agenda and concentrate on making sure their asses are covered or it could speed up their timetable and cause a distraction from impeaching. Here again there is a third option, but let's wait to see when the impeachment papers are presented.

not to mention that impeachment would go a loooong way towards restoring our credibility internationally. people around the world think that because he got elected twice and hasnt been inpeached that all of us support him.
my brother lives in ukraine and travels all over europe and hears that all the time.

DW,
I am sure you meant " There is a third option too, but let's see what happens with Kucinich presenting this to the HOUSE first.", because Articles of Impeachment are introduced in the House Judiciary committee first, and when approved by the Committee, they are voted upon by the full House. It takes a simple majority to pass these articles, and then they are presented to the Senate by the Speaker of the House, along with his two subordinates.
The the Senate conducts a trial under special rules of evidence. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court presides over the trial in the Senate. After all the evidence is provided, the Senate votes on these articles. It is necessary to have 67 senators vote FOR these articles for them to be approved. Then the Impeached person loses his office at that very minute, and can NEVER AGAIN hold a public office. If s/he happens to be a lawyer, The Bar Association may de-bar her/him, too!
In essence, s/he becomes the scum of the earth!

Even if in the end Kucinich gets nowhere with this, at least he tried, and that's alot more then I can say for the others. That shows me he cares about America and her citizens, unlike the others.
Come on! the others have shown that they put themselves first, above America, above our laws, above our constitution, and that's just not right.

we have a president threatening world war III and determined to invade iran regardless of the facts. he already did it once, and he will do it again if congress rolls over the same way they did with the iraq war powers resolution. every last congressperson, pub or dem, who signed that unconstitutional document allowing bush / cheney to invade and occupy a sovereign nation without actually declaring war should be held accountable... including hillary clinton. it is time our leaders acted like servants of the people, and eschew the institutionalized culture of corruption that permeates washington d.c.
dennis kucinich knows he is not going to be president. he is not submitting articles of impeachment for selfish reasons. he is trying to stop an administration that has shown gross contempt for the rule of law. he is trying to stop another devastating, illegal war and save countless innocent lives. he is a great american.

I don't understand all this talk about impeaching the president. Could not all of the troubles we are going to impeach the president with been prevented if congress had stepped up to their responsibility and so no to him. It's our elected officials that we can blame not just one man. This congress has utterly failed in its responsibility. Case in point is the "energy bill". The best they could do was to saddle the auto companies with a 35 mpg which will cost them billions and us when we go to purchase a new vehicle and do little to reduce our dependency on oil. The congress has to accept as much responsibility for our failures as the president.

Very well put indeed.
This man (Kucinich) has some well thought out ideas on most topics but it's when he has these hairbrain ideas that he actually makes good on it simply takes any credibility of his other ideas and completely trashes them.
I think those on here that even contemplate impeachment have way too much tin on the roof if you know what I mean.
