Dec. 20, 2007, 12:05 a.m.What the Democrats are saying is true that the war is already lost and billions of dollars lost, millions of people dead, Iraq is in tatters and the American credibility is gone. This is the greatest achievement of the Republicans led by George Bush and Chaney; the Britain has already cut and run and the United States of America is waiting for an opportune time to cut and run. And also the constitution is trashed and destroyed by manipulations, and everybody in the world laughs at American election as the election of a third world country. Once America was looked at as the model country in the world and everybody wanted to emulate but today the world sees it as an evil empire.

Dec. 20, 2007, 12:16 a.m.I wouldn't have believed this if the links weren't there to support it. Brilliant! Thanks for the link, BoBo! The more things change, the more things stay the same for the Democratic Party, it seems.

Dec. 20, 2007, 5:46 a.m.Phenomonal find, BoBo. As usual, the Democrats have a long, and embarrasing history of making the wrong decisions. After reading the article, it is one of those eureka moments. I think we should have a new government program that offers a free screening to every Democrat to determine what happened to their backbones.Somehow, genetics has reared it's ugly head and removed the backbone from every Democrat. We need to help those who are too weak and spineless to help themselves...

Dec. 20, 2007, 10:16 a.m.Like today there was a General saying lots of bad things. He was the one who won the Battle of Gettysburg. General McClellan even ran for the presidency at that time. Again like then advances by the military pulled the rug from underneath them. Then it was Sherman's march through Georgia that saved Lincoln.
Similarities boggle the mind. I guess Democrats can't learn even from their own history.

Always trying to associate the Bush administration with the ledgendary Lincoln Admninstration. Here is a much better analysis of the Democratic platform of 1864.

On June 16, 1858, more than 1,000 Republican delegates met in the Springfield, Illinois, statehouse for the Republican State Convention. At 5 p.m. they chose Abraham Lincoln as their candidate for the U.S. Senate, running against Democrat Stephen A. Douglas. At 8 p.m. Lincoln delivered this address to his Republican colleagues in the Hall of Representatives.
What would have happened to the world if he had let tyranny, and slavery triumph? He stood his ground in his beliefs.
