Yes, some place in the United States must come first when choosing the next president. We could have as easily picked New Jersey or Pennsylvania, or for that matter run alphabetically and begin with Alabama and Alaska. Imagine if suddenly Alaska were thrust into the limelight! Iowa is as good a state as any, I suppose. Though ideally, if we want to see how regions of the country are trending, why not divide the nation into 6 regions. Select one state from each region and let them have their primaries all in the same month. Not a national primary, and it allows the candidates enough time to zig zag across the country.

That's because the candidates then would have to choose where to go and make the staes they decide aren't worthy of their time mad.
Let's rotate it,,,,, alternating the order very other time?
Make it where Iowa and NH are last and those that are usually last be first in line? then moving the former first to last and bring the former last to first.
