The sad part is that Rudy Giuliani is probably telling the truth but the left wing activists are so intent on their agenda they are actually betraying this country.
I'm not even a George Bush fan but at least he did something, which the last administration ( I believe Clinton was the name?) didn't even notice.
There are over 60 Mosques in the Houston area alone now, almost that many in the Chicago area. We've allowed them to build them here, but there is not one Christian Church in any of these countries. WHO ARE THE FOOLS? You've invited the wolves to sleep among the sheep. They are not peaceful people. Anyone with any common sense can see that. Even a blind squirrel can find an acorn.

He has a valid point with islam being a danger, I don't know about any of his other politics, but he would have made a strong defense candidate. Unlike Osama will if he continues his unfortunate success of the past weekend.

I didn't say he would have been the best overall candidate. However, atleast he recognizes the threat from islamofascists. Most of the other candidates refuse to touch that subject or to acknowledge it. RG did have first hand experience in dealing with the issues related to security following 9/11, none of the other candidates had that first hand experience.
No violent conflict is ever won without an appropriate mix of defense and an offense. We need to target enemy in their playing field while also cleaning house within our own borders, tightening border security etc.
The fact that he approved this ad reflects very poorly on him though and not likely to get my vote unless his opponent is much worse than him.

Really? So is Giuliani going to conduct business dealings with the Saudis which the Bush family has done since around 2 decades? Is Giuliani going to invade a country like Iraq which had nothing to do w/Terrorism per se? & direct our troops to die in a a war in a ME country for oil/profits for Bush/Cheney etc.? Is Giuliani, like Bush/Cheney have done, going to give a green signal to companies like Halliburton? So they can establish offices in Asia where they can sell oil @ twice the market rate? Which is a lot more then the Iraqis sold the oil for in Asia before Bush invaded Iraq? Sadly enough, if you continue with your head in the sand, I believe you may soon find out. BUT the question is? Will you fight back or just cower in fear?
You ought to take a quick little trip over to some of these countries, like Iran, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and see first hand for yourself. These people aren't freedom fighters, they're blowing up women and children and they don't care whose. Tell me again their words are the truth? LL hit the nail on the head when he describes these terrorists "These people aren't freedom fighters, they're blowing up women and children and they don't care." To terrorists the women and children are not COLLATERAL deaths, they are the specific targets of their bombs to cause chaos and unrest.

If only Rudy had any brains, he would have not have placed the Office of Emergency Preparedness in the Twin Towers. He was warned against this risky move.
That would have saved hundreds more, and the people responsible for responding to such catastrophic events would be alive and helping the victims!
And then there is that terrible thing about ignoring the Twin Tower Commission for the 1993 bombing, that had strongly recommended a compatible wireless communication system between all emergency services like Police, Firemen and Ambulances!
HE DIDN'T DO IT!
That caused another terrible loss of upwards of 500 emergency responders!
New Your City Cops, Firefighters and Ambulance people will NEVER FORGIVE HIM FOR THAT! Talk to any one of them and they will tell you what they think of him!

Rudy is a GW Bush wannabe who would give us another 4-8 yrs of inept, corrupt govt. I (sorry America - stupid of me) voted for GWB & regret every minute of it. Unfortunately, Rudy is most likely to be the Repub. nominee. The only way I can see the Repubs. winning is if he chose McCain as his VP running mate. I think Clinton will win the Dem. nomination & if she chooses Obama as her VP they will be unbeatable. The Dems are also prob going to win big in Congress again & gain full control of the two houses. Hopefully the next 4-8 yrs will help heal what the last 7 yrs damaged.

The Twin Trade Towers were scheduled to be dismantled by 2007, at a cost of 5.6 billion dollars, due to galvanic corrosion. Explosive demolition was ruled out because of asbestos pollution. So a cheaper remedy was found, and Larry Silverstein made 4.6 billion dollars from the insurance, and nearly a billion dollars worth of gold and silver bullion disappeared. If you've seen as many controlled demolitions as you claim, you know that this wasn't a controlled one. There would have been little to no damage to any of the surrounding buildings. I've seen the planes hitting the buildings. If you set off bombs why destroy the planes?
And finally, this nation can't keep a secret, other than where Hoffa is buried. You're saying a secret team of commandos planted bomb in the towers, took control of the airliners and did this all without anyone knowing? Not even the A-Team would have been able to pull this off.

You're sending us to a site in the UK. I have no idea what or where they're getting the "facts". PBS here in the USA did a great job explaining, with the support of the original architect, why the towers fell. The building was designed with flaws from the start. Where concrete should have been used, they specified 2 sheets of wall board. Where they specified asbestos as the fire proofing, something else less durable was used. Floor joists were secured with a single bolt rather than welding or other more traditional connecting methods.
What the architect did say from the start, they designed and built the towers to withstand a plane hitting the buildings. They never took into account the 10,000 lbs of jet fuel.

Better yet, you probably question if the Pope is Catholic. There are many unions in NY that hated Rudy when he was mayor. I'm confused at what beef they have with Rudy. I do know when questions were asked about their procedures and failings they decided to blame the mayor rather than admit the total failure of their own command structure. But again, that goes back to this attack. A fire, most people were ready for. Possibly an attack on one of the towers but to have the devastation of both towers, I don't think anyone was really prepared for.
I'm sure we will hear from them until the final election, even if Rudy isn't the GOP candidate. The media is very good at being fair and balanced. Attack the GOP support the DNC. Fair and balanced.

So you're going to go after the entire congress and White House during the Clinton years? That's when the budget cuts for the air readiness happened. Before you go crazy with the negs, there was no reason to keep them so I agreed with them then. There was little to no threat at that time. That plus the Towers were really not thought of as a target. The whole mentality pre 911 was that hostage takers would make demands eventually to release the hostages. No one ever considered a massive attack like this before. Terrorists talked about it but no one ever thought they could get 19 or 20 guys to actually do it.

It would have been enlightening to have secured the criminal evidence from 9-11. After all it was the worst aviation disaster, the worst architectural disaster and the greatest mass murder to have ever occurred in American history. One would think it might be useful in avoiding future architectural disasters to analyze the failures of the WTC steel considering these were the first steel framed building to ever collapse due to fire. Many universities asked for samples of WTC steel for analysis but were denied. Unfortunately this crime scene evidence was instead quickly shipped off shore for disposal by former criminal prosecutor Rudy Guiliani.

When he was asked specifically about 9-12, he couldn't recall a single thing he had done, during a live interview. And the firefighters in new york know what a liar he is and that he is treading on their backs trying to get elected. Perhaps you might check the interviews of the firefighters to see their true reactions to Giuliani and what they think of him, rather than believing what FOX shows you. And crghss, I almost care what you have to say, almost. Giuliani is a TV hero, nothing more. He made his appearances during the event while the cameras were there, period. because he had to. I have to be honest, I don't know where I was exactly. My fiancee was flying from a carrier off New York and has the pictures to prove it, quite amazing. Knowing the schedule of any mayor in a crisis, I can see how he really couldn't answer the question. As to your other rantings, I'm not sure what you or the firefighters expected Rudy to do. I know several fire and police officers who won't vote for him because of pay. When he came to office with the promise of cleaning up NY, he hired a ton of cops and firefighters, eliminating almost all the overtime. It was good for the citizens of NY but bad for them. On other issues, I can't really say. At the time I lived in Oyster Bay Cove but avoided Manhattan and New York. Did business there but it was too crowded for me.

The two democratic candidates that I have any respect for had to drop out. The presidential race has become a popularity contest instead of a contest for the person who is most qualified. Money and the press is what gets a candidate elected............so sad. Guys I'm not a Rudy fan. However, what's wrong with using the fear of a terrorist attack? We live in a very different world than we did 40 years ago when most of you were in college. We're fighting a very evil force that wants nothing less that the extermination of America and our ideals. Then again, when you think of Rudy, most people think tough on crime, cleaned up New York and 9-11. Only the ultra right fixate on his three marriages and his stances on the gay lifestyle and abortion rights.
I think a far scarier ad would be a picture of Hillary in Washington taking the oath of office but with Bill's voice.

He is enacting the same policies that GW Jr. did; to inspire fear and allow the government to take whatever action is necessary to secure our "freedom." Well, if securing our freedom means starting fraudulent wars to secure oil then we might as well re-write the constitution and let our current president stay in office.
The real enemy isn't the Muslim religion in general as this ad suggests, it is the extremists. The difference between muslims and christians is that their religion is less tolerant of interpretations and even those have a strangle hold on them by the religious leaders. I find it VERY interesting that Ron Paul bested Rudi in Iowa. When Rudi is - according to the mainstream media anyway - a front runner and Dr. Paul is a marginal "kook" or some such. Once again, you've missed my point. I'll try not to use the big words. The "mastermind". That's the guy who planned it, at least locally was captured along with several close associates. Fellow bad guys. They went to trial and were sentenced to prison or death. Somehow they all managed to escape. Ironic how many of the prison guards were all members of the same clan/family and local mosque.
As to the China thing, stop buy crap from China. My shirts, suites and ties are made in Chicago. My shoes Allen Edmond's in Wisconsin. My car, Ford in St. Louis. Even my laptop is a Dolch, made in CA.
As to the cuts, we've actually seen growth in business. We're exporting power gen systems as fast as we can build them and several mining equipment mfg's have work out for the next 10 years.
