The candidates statements are from their own web pages.
The poll host does not tally duplicate votes from the same computer. (though nothing stops you from actually voting, a second vote will not be added to the result). And this is not "A slanted pole" lol. Enjoy!

Wow Radio a little defensive for your bogus polls eh?
Are the folks here on Nutscape bright enough to know the difference tween a real poll and a bogus poll?
A real poll, the pollster seeks out a wide spectrum of people.
A Bogus poll has people "volunteer" their opinions, selecting themselves for the poll.
"Hint" Radio your polls are the bogus kind.

The above link will give you a guide to reading polls so you don't get bamboozled again by polls.

Hi Tessy,
I think we all know you're secretly a Huckabee supporter. You have a very well-balanced view, you have a love that radiates from you, and you are especially tolerant and open to other points of view. Sounds like a Huckabee supporter to me.
Thanks again for the warm personal greeting you sent me, I'll keep it always and I hope you have a wonderful new year also.
All the love...

From last night's caucus results, it seems that Iowans are roughly divided as:
60% Smart and Intelligent (among them 55% Dems, 5% Republicans)
20% "Nothing is wrong with Washington, DC"
15% Fundies and Intelligent Designers
5% "Older the better!"
I don't know how to fit in Sponge Bob and Squidward in these percentages!
It is a fun poll, though!
Thanks Radio!

Of course this is only a straw "pole" conducted by scarecrows.
(thanks HGM) but the staffers of all the candidates now see the public is ready for a cartoon candidate. In all future debates actual cartoons will be used in an effort to bolster support for candidates who previously just acted like cartoons.
I lament Paul and Kucinich aren't more viable as well but I am uplifted to a degree by Iowa's rejection of the status quo.
Looks like Iowa isn't an auction after all. Good for them.

What surprises me is that on a one-on-one conversation, she is a very warm and caring person. But the moment the cameras turn on and the spotlight shines, something happens to cause a metamorphosis and she becomes a deer frozen in the headlights!
Can't she find a good speech coach?

How many can truly say that the Obama speech did not address many of the issues that current politics epitomizes.
His speech reminded my of one by John Kennedy in his inauguration speech. Many desire change rather than continuation with crooked corrupt hypocrisy in government today. The old guard which includes Bill and Hillary should be relegated to the back door along with most incumbents.
I vote for change and take my chances. The present leadership is atrocious, abominable and meddlers of the world. Vote incumbents out and lets re freshen our government. COULD WE DO WORSE THAN WHAT WE HAVE.
I will end with my one mantra, BUSH IS THE LARGEST MORONIC PRESDENT IN AMERICA'S HISTORY. I feel empathy for the next president since they must undo what Bush has accomplished.

It's a fool's game to try to please everyone, I was a little surprised this good natured (in my opinion anyway) bit of fun offended anyone. Obviously neither the candidates nor national policy will hinge on this blog poll intended for entertainment. One thing I've learned is trying to please everyone is indeed like trying to teach pigs to sing. There will be no arias and it annoys the pigs. It's always best to do what it is you like (and duck the slings and arrows). "Follow your bliss" as Joseph Campbell said. ("Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain - and most fools do." as Dale Carnegie said)
